Inkspirational - CASE challenge

It's time for a new challenge at Inkspirational and this time we have a CASE challenge. Please head over to the challenge blog for inspiration from the rest of the team.

I chose to CASE one of my previous cards in 2018 (link to its post is here) made with a deer die from Marianne. I chose the samme layout, but for my new card I used only one DP and I stamped the sentiment.

Margaret calendar January

Tuesday is "New release day" over at Catch the Bug, and this is Margaret calendar January.

I chose to use her for a birthday celebration card. She's all dressed up for her big day, and I gave her firewoks with the help from dies from Lawn Fawn.

A glitter frame, sequins and frantage added a bit of sparkle.

Final Catch the Bug challenge in 2018

There’s a new challenge over at Catch the Bug - the final one in 2018 - and this time we have a bingo board.
The image is Candy cane snowman, colored with Promarkers. I used a snowflake embossing folder, but I kept a cicle shaped area non-embossed and brushed on some blue DI. Fun foam die cut snowflakes and a die cut+Dymo sentiment were added.

Inkspirational Photo Challenge - gold and white

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational and this time we have a photo challenge for you. Please head over to the challenge blog for inspiration from the rest of the team.


For my card I was inspired by the pattern of the white and gold napkin, I rummaged through my stash of DPs and found one that matches. I used a deer head die cut from Marianne, heat embossed with gold EP, attached it to a star DP and added sequins and a sentiment.

Snowmen and Friends Duo

Christmas Chaos week at Catch the Bug is over and we're back to our regular schedule. This Saturday it's Anything Goes week.

The image is  Snowmen and Friends Duo, colored with Promarkers and glittered up with WoS and glitter glue. And there's frantage for snow.

I used one DP but cut a strip for layering.The sentiment is heat embossed and I added a few sequins.

Bugaboo Christmas Chaos day 6 - Colors

Over at Catch the Bug we're preparing for Christmas - it's Christmas Chaos week with lots of prizes to be won. For day 6 we have a color challenge.

I colored up an image from the Snowman Block Set and cut it with a stitched die. I used a DP from Lawn Fawn again and added a few holly leaves, red berries and a Dymo+die cut sentiment.

Bugaboo Christmas Chaos day 5 - Photo

Over at Catch the Bug we're preparing for Christmas - it's Christmas Chaos week with lots of prizes to be won. For day 5 we have a photo challenge.

For this card I used one of the newest images in the store, Snowmen Snowflakes Collage which you can find here. I colored it with Promarkes and added a bit of glitter glue. The DP is Lawn Fawn and I used a snowflake and frame die, and the tag with sentiment is from an Avery Elle stamp set.

Inkspirational - Anything Christmas Goes

Time for a new challenge at Inkspirational. This time the theme is 'Anything Christmas goes'. Please head over to the challenge blog to see what the rest of the crew have made.

For my card I used a Penny Black stamp with branches and berries. I stamped it with black and red ink and used a frosted glitter powder on top and heat embossed.
I used silver embossing powder for the die cut 'merry'. A die cut stitched silver panel was used as a frame.

Christmas card for a Harry Potter fan

There’s a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug and this is my take on it. 

One of my nephews is into Harry Potter at the moment so I chose the image Potter Magical Christmas, colored with Promarkers and a silver gel pen.
The DP is Lawn Fawn and I stamped the bow using a stamp from Avery Elle.

Three snowmen in pink, blue and green

Thursday is "Oldie but Goodie" day over at Catch the Bug, and this is my DT card featuring Three snowmen, colored with Promarkers in colors inspired by the challenge over at 52CCT.

I mounted the image on top a heat emossed and inked panel, added a die ct border ribbon and a metal charm.

Blue and white Christmas card

My card today features two cozied up polar bears from Lawn Fawn. I fussy cut them and paper pieced their scarf from a left over piece of Lawn Fawn paper. I stamped the trees on another scrap piece and added glitter glue.
I used blue and black DIs for the background, heat embossed the sentiment and added two die cut snowflakes and a die cut frame.

Bear chef

I have made this card for this week's challenge over at Catch the Bug - the theme is 'something  yummy'.
 I used a little bear chef, colored with Promarkers and fussy cut. I made my layers with papers from Tim Holtz and an embossed paper.
I added a Christmas greeting and ribbon.

My fourth Christmas gift tag this year

I've made this tag for Catch the Bug's Anything But a card Monday post.

Each year I set myself the goal of making all the Christmas gift tags. Maybe this will be the year I will actually reach my goal?

This is the fourth gift tag I’ve made so far, featuring a snowman from Bugaboo, placed onto a stenciled background using a Memory Box stencil, blue DI and a brush. I also stamped a Christmas greeting and added ribbon and twine.

Inkspirational, photo challenge

We have a new challenge for you over at Inkspirational and this time the challenge is to take inspiration from the photo.
I was inspired by the colors. I used a never before inked flower stamp with kraft colored ink and I sponged the flowers with orange DI. I also used a brush and blue DI fo the backgound. The flower centres got liquid gold pearls and I stamped a greeting using the same ink as for the flowers. I placed the panel onto a DP from Loawn Fawn, I slit a little pocket for the bottom left corner.

Feminine Christmas card

I made this card with a Hunkydory topper which came free with a magazine a while back.
The topper being quite large I just added a die cut frame of red glitter card stock, using a Lawn Fawn die.
I also I added a heat embossed greeting on vellum, three die cut snowflakes with a pearl on each. This was a really quick make.

Autumn Fox

I have made this card for this week's color challenge over at Catch the Bug - I loved the colors in the photo.

I used the image For Fox Sake,  colored with Promarkers. The DP is Kaisercaft, wooden printed, and I had a left over piece of orange corrugated paper in my stash and raffia. The leaves are Lawn Fawn die cuts and I dipped them in a DI and water mix.

Chihuahua

Thursday is "Oldie bt Goodie" day over at Catch the Bug, and this is my DT card featuring one of the sweet dogs from the Chihuahua Puppy set. It's colored with Promarkers and fussy cut.

The papers are from Kaisercaft, so even the tag with the birthday greeting. I used stitched dies for the papers and I added white ribbon and gold string and a attached a gold heart charm.

Inkspirational, use vellum

We have a new challenge for you over at Inkspirational and this time the challenge is to use vellum.

There are lots of ways to use vellum. I usually use vellum for adding sentiments, but this time I went with a shaker design. To avoid any spots of glue showing I chose to stitch my vellum in place after having added sequins for snow. 
The reindeer are stamped and I used a half circle snowflake border die and a stitched die to frame in the scene.

Chrismas card with golden reindeer

Seeing the sketch over at 52CCT this design idea came to mind.
I bought this reindeer die from Marianne last weekend, so I die cut one in gold paper and popped it onto a circle and added sequins to mimic the sketch.
The DPs are from a  Kaiserkraft pad with lovely blue and gold papers.
The merry die is from Tim Holtz and I used my Dymo again.
Since there's no staping and coloring involved and I knew what to make this was a ver quick card indeed.
