Inkspirational #192 - Fold

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational and this timewe have a word prompt - FOLD.

I didn't know what to do, so I turned to Pinterest for ideas. I came over Jennifer McGuire's bridge card tutorial - you can check it out here.
I use some old DPs. The dressmaker is die cut with a Spellbinders die, which I haven't used for more than 3 years. I stamped a butterfly to make wings for it. Added a piece of ribbon as well.

Christmas in July - Photo (day 6)

It’s time for my favorite event of the year, Christmas in July over at Catch the Bug, with a week of daily challenges. For day 6 we have a photo challenge with a movie theme.

I was inspired by the trees of the photo and the ladies' outfits in the movie, but also I kept my card mostly white as in White Christmas. I've used a tree landscape die from Amy Design. The panel is cut with a Penny Black one. I heat embossed glitter and frantage for snow. The image is called Sunbonnet Winter and be found here.

Christmas in July - Bingo (day 4)

It’s time for my favorite event of the year, Christmas in July over at Catch the Bug, with a week of daily challenges. For day 4 we have a bingo with a movie theme.
 
I used an image from the winners' set, it's not an elf, but I believe elves serve Santa cocoa to get him "in shape" for Christmas. My bingo line is the horizontal middle row. I colored the image using Promarkers and Stickles for sparkle. The  DP is an old one that came with a magazine. I added a die cut straw and a Tim Holtz chipboard sentiment.

Christmas in July - Sketch (day 2)

It’s time for my favorite event of the year, Christmas in July over at Catch the Bug, with a week of daily challenges. For day 2 we have a sketch with a movie theme.


I used the image Reindeer Peeker and a masculine design. Papers are Maja Design, the sticker and chipboard sentiment are from Tim Holtz. I added a few die cut snowflakes.

Christmas in July - Favorite movie from photo (day 1)

It’s time for my favorite event of the year, Christmas in July over at Catch the Bug, with a week of daily challenges.
For day 1 we want you to make a project with inspiration from one of the movies in the photo:
I used the image Christmas kidz 01, colored it with Promarkers, added glitter glue and cut it with a photo die from Lawn Fawn. The hearts are from the same die set. The sentiment was a freebie. The background is embossed with a 3D Tim Holtz wodden embossing folder.

Twofer Card Challenge - Garden

I have two cards to share, for the Twofer Card Challenge #18, which is GARDEN. 

For both cards I used a butterfly stamp from Visible Image.

I made a "best wishes" and a "just a note" card. 

 

1) Best wishes

On my first card I heat embossed the butterfly with Black sparkle EP. It's beatiful in real life. The sentiment is from Penny Black. I added a bit of splatter using blue DI with water and a brush. The panel is mounted onto a background embossed using an EF from Tim Holtz.

2) Just a note

On my second card I heat embossed the butterfly with gold EP. I cut parts of the butterfly as a square and mounted it at an angle onto another square. I used a musical note stamp on the background. The sentiment is from Penny Black. I added a bit of splatter using purple DI with water and a brush.

Gift card holder with snowman

Monday is ‘Anything but a card’ inspiration day over at Catch the Bug. This year I'm making a few gift card holders, and this is the second one I've made.

I’ve used papers that I've had for a long time and I'm not sure where they're from.
The snowman is part of the  Christmas Trio Block, colored with Promarkers.

Inkspirational #191 Photo (banners, kites, balloons)

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational and it's a photo challenge.


I was inspired by the kites and clouds on the cookies on the bottom row as well as the spots on the background.

I used stamps from two different sets from Lawn Fawn. The die cut frame is also from LF. I die cut some grass and added a birthday greeting in Norwegian.
