Superman

I'm here to share my DT card for the new "Stella Says Sketch" challenge over at Catch the Bug..
I used the image AKV superhero - fly 2. I colored the image with Promarkers and fussy cut it. I used dies from Dienamics to make the oval and a Memory Box one to make the citycape. I did two rows of buildings and added orange paper behind the cut out windows for some glow. I chose a DP I felt added something "comic book" inspired to my card. The road is a strip of washi and I added some sequins stars to the sky.

This card is also for these challenges:
Inkspirational - Glow (from the windows and the stars)
Die Cuttin' Divas - #237 Must Use Popcorn or Be Inspired By Movie (Superman)
Crafty Catz - #297 Anything Goes
Addicted to Stamps and More - #166 Anything Goes

Hugs and Kisses and many Wishes

It's Thursday and time for an OLDIE BUT GOODIE over at Catch the Bug.

http://api.ning.com/files/ZahK2JNbKSsyX2gNAb1epqkk1DwNknzwdQ4rZXkWme9MNMujRtNQSbfkL2HOWjXVFjxSKSmH2s9teAZd-StyZ74gZvlZFwf0/hweensale.jpgThe image is Chef Pierre, he comes in many versions in the Bugaboo store. He is colored with Promarkers and I added lots of glitter glue to the cake.
The sentiment is made with a stamp from Penny Black, I stamped using black ink and like how it looks like white chalk on a blackboard sign, kind of like you can see cafés and restaurants put out on the streets in summer. I attached it all to black card board and a red card base, so no DPs used.

This card is for these challenges:
Allsorts - No design papers
Sweet Stampin - Use script or text
Crafty Creations - #300 Don't Be Blue

Santa's coming soon...

There's a new challenge over at  Outlawz Twisted Thursday and this week's optional twist is to play TIC-TAC-TOE. You can choose any row, diagonal, horizontal or vertical, to make your project. I chose the upper horizontal row.

I've used an image from Stitchy Bear Designs - our sponsor for October - colored with Promarkers and a white gel pen.

I was inspired by this week's sketch over at Sketch Saturday. Papers are from Maja designs, I used a snowflake die and my stitched oval dies, and a branch with red berries, ribbon, twine, charm and pearls from stash. The sentiment is a sentiment tag from LOTV.

I'd like to participate in these challenges with my card:
Sketch Saturday - Sketch #382
Love to Scrap - Ribbon or Lace, Oh My

Housewife retro style

I love participating in the challenge over at Twofers as they force me to use my stash of rubber stamps. You're not required to make more than one project, in spite of the name.
So far I've used a few NBUS ones, like today's housewife stamp, which I love but had never used. I believe I got her one or two years ago during a craft fair. She's from Lost Coast Design if I'm not mistaken. And I think she has something 1950s about her...

I cut a DP with spots into three panels and adhered the pieces onto a panel of black and gold card stock. Then I die cut a piece if vellum and heat embossed with gold using a sentiments stamp from LOTV. I also added three bling and a die cut banner as I felt the card was busy enough with the background of spots showing through the vellum. I had planned to add something red too, but I changed plans and added the bling instead.

This card is for these challenges:
Twofers -#5 Vintage/Retro
A Gem of a Challenge - spots and /or stripes
Crafty Friends Challenge - gems/pearls
Crafty Catz - #296 Embossing

Scarecrow

I'm here to share my DT card for the new challenge over at Catch the Bug, where we have the theme of FALL this week.

I've used a sweet scarecrow and colored it with my Promarkers.
I've used mostly paper scraps to make my card.
The stitched oval and banner dies are from Dienamics (love these) and so is the sentiment.
I added a few die cut leaves made with dies from LawnFawn and I also added two bling ones.

This card is also for these challenges:
QKR Stampede - #160 Scarecrows
C.R.A.F.T. - #332 Autumn/Halloween/Thanksgiving/Bonfire Night
Fussy and Fancy - #149 Autumn Colours

Shaker card for a birthday girl

There's a new challenge over at  Outlawz Twisted Thursday and this week's optional twist is to make a birthday project. I've used an image from Stitchy Bear Designs - our Sponsor for October.

This is my third pink project within a week. I'm not that crazy about pink really, but I'm obviously going through a pink phase. The sweet girl is holding a birthday cake, so I added a birthday greeting and pink sequins for the shaker part and die cut balloons using a die from Poppy to add to the party feel. I die cut a frame og kraft paper, added a piece of lace and attached the panel to brown card stock.

I'd like to participate in these challenges with my card:
Inspiration Destination - #54 Always Anything Goes
Fan-Tastic Tuesday - #106 Anything Goes with a twist: Use Two Patterned Papers
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes

For a little prince...

I made a card for a little prince born in July, with the sketch over at CYCI as inspiration.
I used a striped DP and embossed panels decorated with lace to make the background.
The little animal stamps are from a set from Lawnfawn, and I have a matching set of dies to cut them. I paper pieced them and colored the details using an orange Promarker and gold and white gel pens.
CYCI#89The sentiment is a die cut heat embossed with silver EP, placed onto a die cut stitched oval.

This card is for these challenges:
Can You CASE it -#89 Sketch
Come and Get It - For the Boys
Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - #101 Animals

I took a magnetic shopping notepad and decorated it with DPs from Maja Design, which I embossed with an embossing folder with swirls. The swirls got covered with silver gelato.
I added a die cut sentiment (Dienamics) of silver cardstock and 4 glittery pearls I received from Kim.

Birthday Rose

I'm here to share my DT card for the new "Stella Says Sketch" challenge over at Catch the Bug..

I used one of Jodie's beautiful flower images, you can find a big selection in the Bugaboo store. I colored the image with Promarkers and cut it using stitched oval dies from Dienamics. The scallopped stitched borders are also from Dienamics. All papers are from Maja Design. Instead of adding a stamped sentiment I attached a metal charm with a birthday greeting to a bow made of seambinding ribbon.

This card is also for these challenges:
In the Pink - #79 1,2,3 of something /1 image, 2 pearls, 3 DPs)
Seize The Birthday - Birthday + Topping - Border Punches Or Dies

My first ATC

There's a new challenge over at  Outlawz Twisted Thursday and this week's optional twist is to make an ATC. I've used an image from Stitchy Bear Designs - our Sponsor for October.

This is my first go at making an ATC. I've always struggled with tags, due to the small space to work with, but making an ATC for some reason I didn't find as hard. Maybe because its rectangular, I don't know... But I can tell you it's a great project for using some scraps. I've got tons to work with...

I made my ATC base out of black cardstock. I used a stencil to make the background, added perfect perals for a nice shiny finish. The striped paper is a piece of leftover from a Maja Design paper. The sentiment is made using my Dymo. Image colored with Promarkers and a white gel pen to make the fur, which doesn't show well in the photo. Added two pearls onto sequins from my stash.

This is also for these challenges:
Digi Choosday Challenge - #39 - Something New (stencil and making an ATC)
Di's Digis Designs - Animals acting like humans
Sweet Stampin - Use a non-white base

Using my old rubber stamps

I had on my to do list to make a sassy birthday card using rubber stamps. I had only one image I felt suited the theme, so  I blew the dust off my showgirl from Whimsy Stamps. I wanted to use this stamp in a new way, so I stamped a cocktail glass from Magnolia, masked it and then I placed the showgirl like she's sitting inside the glass. The image is colored with Promarkers and the glass has loads of glossy accent on it.

I had planned to use a sketch as inspiration for my card, but I had to change plans along the way as I wasn't happy with how I'd colored the white space around the image, which forced me to fussy cut it. I used my embossing folder with falling snow, then I added gold, silver and frantage to the spots and background, I think it gave her a background with lots of party feel to it. The birthday sentiment is in Norwegian and was is embossed with silver EP.

This card is for these challenges:
Twofers - #4 Sassy
Mervi's Candy and Challenge - Birthday
Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes with Twist of Black
Crafty Cardmakers - Make It Sparkle
Incy Wincy Designs - Pin Up Girls

Dreamcatchers

It's very rare I show two cards in the same post, but these two cards have the same theme.
For both cards I've used a dreamcatcher die from Spellbinders.

For my first card I colored the die cut with brown and blue Promarkers, being inspired by the colors of the Stampin Royalty photo, and decorated it with white pearls. The blue inner frame is stamped with a script stamp from Kort&Godt.
I used my stitched oval dies to make a raised frame. I also used them to cut out the centre so that the gold paper panel also makes the background for the die cut. The cardstock is dark brown.
This card is for these challenges:
Stampin' Royalty - #296 - Picture Inspiration
Dream Valley Challenges - Recipe (Blue+Stitching real or faux+die cuts)
Cards und More - No Designer Paper

For my second card I colored the die cut, a part from the feathers, with a brown Promarker, then I added frantage with white and gold and heat set it. I attached it to a gold panel covered with vellum and stitched around the edges. I mounted the panel on foam.
This card is for these challenges:
Addicted to CAS - Dream
TIME OUT Challenges - #39 Case Tracey (I was inspired by the white, vellum and the placement of the image)
House of Cards - Stitching

Autumn colors

I'm here to share my DT card for the new COLOR challenge over at Catch the Bug, featuring the images from the Mini Set - Leaf blocks.

I struggle a bit with color challanges, so instead of going hunting for designer papers in my stash to find papers that would fit colorwise, I pulled out my inks.
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/141581982012684867/I used them to color the images, there's a mix of DI squeeezed lemonade, wild honey, fired brick, aged mahogny and a walnut stain in there.
I attached the images to burlap paper, then to corrugated card board which I added som aged gold frantage to. I found 3 buttons in autumnal colors in my stash and added those and some brown string.
The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and is heat set with Queen's Gold EP.

This card is also for these challenges:
Make My Monday - Nature
If You Give a Crafter A Cookie... - #28 Photo Inspiration
Night Shift Stamping - Autumn

    Halloween card with Freebie Friday

Happy Friday! I'm here to show you my card featuring the Freebie Friday -  you can pick it up at no cost in the Bugaboo store.

Making a Halloween themed card I was out of my comfort zone, but I found some orange and black papers from Graphic45 in my stash, as well as black ribbon and paper and got to work using
the Tuesday Morning sketch as inspiration for my layout. I die cut an oval frame using Dienamics dies and popped it up with foam, and I did the with the fussy cut image. But before that I stamped the paper within the frame with a cobweb and spider stamp and added some white stuff that was supposed to look like real cobweb...

This card is also for these challenges:
Tuesday Morning Sketches - #319 Sketch
Whimsy Inspiration - #86 Anything Goes or Halloween
Crafting with an Attitude - #7 Anything Goes

The image is called Winter Bird Trio and is colored with Promarkers. There's quite a lot of glitter on this card and the stitched die cut frame is covered with gesso. I'v used scrap pieces to punch and die cut branches, holly leaves, cone and the sentiment also got covered with gold EP and was heat set.

    CASEing Monika - take two

Monika of Creative with Monika invited me to join a personal challenge, where she CASEs one of my cards of her choice and I one of hers. This is the second time we do this. This time I chose to CASE her elephant card - it's the one in the smaller photo and you can find more photos of her card here.

So I took out my elephant stamps from Lawn Fawn and stamped them onto patterned paper and cut them out. I placed them onto a die cut heart (Memory Box) which I inked with fired brick DI.

The sentiment is heat embossed with silver EP, the stamp is from Technique Tuesday.
The background is stenciled using black DI, which I think actually looks grey when used for stenciling.
For a bit more color I added 3 sequins from my stash.

I'm sure Monika would appreciate your visit too, you can check out her post here to see her version of one of my cards and leave her some love:)

This card is for these challenges:

    Elephant and pumpkins

It's Thursday and time for an OLDIE BUT GOODIE over at Catch the Bug and a new challenge over at Outlawz Twisted Thursday. This week the optional twist - or theme - is "AUTUMN".

The image is called Edward - fall pumpkins and is colored with Promarkers.

The background is embossed, I used gold paper, then I added a panel of a DP that came free with a magazine ages ago.
For a bit of texture I added cheesecloth, and I die cut lots of leaves in different autumnal colors using dies from Lawn Fawn. The tree branch and birds are made with Memory Box dies.
I machine stitched around the edges using gold metallic thread.

    Crabby Cat

Tuesday is new release day over at  Bugaboo and this is my DT card showcaseing one of Jodie's latest images. It's called Crabby Cat Christmas - I think the name suits him.

He's colored with Promarkers, he's got glossy accent on his eyes and glitter on his fur trim. The image is cut using a die from Lawn Fawn.

Papers are from Maja Design. The striped panel was embossed with a candy cane embossing folder.

I stitched using white thread, added white string and a red glittery button I received from Kim (thanks Kim!)
    The sentiment is from Dylusions.

    Paris and Venice

Twofers has the theme of cities this fortnight. I made two A2 sized cards.

    Paris card:
The Eiffel Tower is a clear stamp from Panduro. I stamped with black ink and layered the image onto black and white panels. The background is made with a map stamp from Prima, and it actually includes France on it. I stamped with white ink onto black card stock.
I wanted to include a little color to the card, so I used a twine I received from Kim which has the colors of the French flag and it's also my NBUS element. I attached a die cut tag to it and stamped "lots of hugs" using a Technique Tuesday set.

This card is for these challenges:
    Darnell's NBUS Challenge #5
Get Creative Challenges - Use a Tag
Where the HeART is - Add some text

    Venice card:
This is a one layer card I made using a stamp from Penny Black. I masked off the white space and stamped my image. I stamped the image onto some left over paper and made a mask before I started inking the sky and water. Then I colored the image using Promakers and a white gel pen and I left the building uncolored. I left out a sentiment, I kind of regretted that I included one on my previous one layer card, so didn't want to make the same mistake.

This card is for these challenges:
Inkspirational - One layer card (2nd entry)
TIME OUT Challenges - #39 Make Your Mark
    Happy Little Stampers CAS- Colouring

    Stella Says Sketch with Elephant

I'm here to share my DT card for the new "Stella Says Sketch" challenge over at Catch the Bug.

I used a die from Poppy to make the die cut background that covers the whole card front. I used the same DP as behind the die cut for the panel, and instead of using a circle I took the liberty to add a tag made with a Dienamics die and added my fussy cut elephant on top of it. I used jeans ribbon and white string from my stash as well as glitter pearls I received from Kim.

This card is also for these challenges:
Through the Purple Haze - Happy Birthday
    Crafter's Cafe - #132 Monochromatic for a Child
I love Promarkers - #284 Use the Colour Blue

    Bear Angel on Cloud

I'm here to share my DT card for the new ANYTHING GOES challenge over at Catch the Bug, featuring the image Jesse Bear Angel - Jesse angel.

He's colored with Promarkers and gel pens and the fluffy cloud is made using a snowpen - love that stuff. I fussy cut the image and mounted it on foam.
I masked off the rectangle, used DI ink and Perfect Pearls, which gives it a nice shiny look. It's the first time I've used it and I'm ddfinetely going to put more colors on my shopping list...
Then I ran the background through an embossing folder with falling snow and added silver EP and heat set. The sentiment is also embossed, and I only added 3 sequins from my stash for a clean look.

This card is alsro for these challenges:

The image is called Sewing Mouse - needle and is colored with Promarkers and a silver metallic gel pen for the needle. I used a past Saturday Sketch as inspiration.

The sentiment is heat embossed on velum and is from the same set as the bobbins that came free with a magazine at some point. I decorated the bobbins with dark blue and pink thread.

The background is embossed using an EF with buttons and I used sandpaper to enhance the pattern.

Just a quick card to share with you tonight, being inspired by this week's Muse card by Carol Mayne (the feather and sentiment), a sketch and a theme (write).

CYCI#84I've used stamps that come from three different sets - the scripture strip, the feather and the sentiment - all received as gifts from 3 different family members.
I doodled the frame with a black pen, mounted the panel on foam and added a piece of string.

This card is for these challenges:
