Die cut cacti

I’ve been looking for cacti stamps, have found none,  so I was delighted when I came across this cacti die set from Marianne. I cut the parts and used my promarkers to color all the bits and pieces.
I used a MFT stitched frame die and kept the cut in the die while adding green DOx.
Then I used my script stamp and randomly added grey ink. A bit of splatter, 2 stamps used to make the birthday sentiment and my card was ready.

It’s time for my favorite event of the year, Christmas in July over at Catch the Bug. A week of daily challenges, you can see them all in this post. For day 7 we have a photo challenge and the DT members are using this week's freebie.

As Santa is enjoying a day on the beach I decided to use my boat and waves die set from Poppy to make the background. Santa and the die cut boat are colored with Promarkers. I framed the panel using my new and much loved MFT dies.

Christmas in July - Sketch

It’s time for my favorite event of the year, Christmas in July over at Catch the Bug. A week of daily challenges, you can see them all in this post. Day 2 is a sketch.

I used the image Winter Bird 2, colored it with Promarkers and cut it with an MFT die. The die cut frame is also MFT and the Santa with sleigh is from Marianne. The red/kraft colored papers are Tim Holtz ones, the musical notes strip was a leftover from my stash. I used my Dymo to make the Christmas sentiment.

Christmas in July - Baby it's cold outside...

It’s time for my favorite event of the year, Christmas in July over at Catch the Bug. A week of daily challenges, and day 1 is a really easy one,  Baby it’s cold outside.

I used a snowman for my card. I sponged blue DI on the background, added drops of water for snow effect and also white frantage. I cut the panel with a MFT stitched frame die.
A subtle detail, which is almost invisible in the photo, is that I masked off the snowman and stamped a few trees with white ink and heat embossed with frosted embossing powder. Quite nice in real life.
The sentiment is a combo of dymo and a Tim Holtz die cut.

Beverage

Today I have two cards to share for the  Twofer Card challenge where the theme is beverage. For both cards I used the champagne bottle and glass stamp that was part of freebie set with a magazine recently. I also used a sweet mouse from Penny Black. The frame dies are from MFT, I used the two largest ones.

Card 1) Happy New Year 2019
This is the first card I made. I stuck a freebie paper onto the card base and added sticker numbers. I stamped the mouse and masked him before I used champagne bottle and glass stamp. The bubbles came with the same freebie set. I stamped and cut out one extra glass. I covered the glasses with glossy accent.
This card is also for:

Card 2) It's your day (birthday card)
For my second card I used a DP from Lawn Fawn. The cheers sentiment came with the same freebie set.The larger sentiment is from KaiserKraft. I used a part of a doily for table cloth and ounted the mouse and one glass on foam.

Yellow flowers

For this card I’ve used a Penny Black flower stamp together with grey ink.
I colored the image using both yellow DI and Promarkers. I added blue DI with a brush to get a light color on the background, then I added a bit of splatter.
After adding the sentiment I felt the card felt a bit empty so I used a script stamp and grey ink.

Flamingo, Pink and Hello

It's a rare one for me, but this is a card with no stamping at all, I've only used die cuts.
The flamingo was a gift from my sister, I colored with my Promarkers and added a little WoS on the wings.
The sentiment and lace frame are MFT dies, the sand banks are made with dies from Poppy and the tall flowers I've used for grass and straws are from Tim Holtz.
I colored with blue DIs to make the sea.
I added the panel onto a piece of kraft card stock.

      Trees and snowman with stocking

I have made this card for this week's challenge over at Catch the Bug - it's Anthing Goes week.

I've been digging through my stash of ready made items, which were intended for but not used on previous cards. There I found the snowman from Bugaboo as well as the squirrel (Lawn Fawn) and the stamped trees and stocking (Panduro). I just cut the panels and the banner (dies fro MFT), embossed the smaller panel and used a tree stencil (Tim Holtz) on the larger one. The sentiment came free with a magazine.

      This card is also for:

      In the ocean

It's Thursday and Oldie but Goodie day over at Catch the Bug.
It's very hot and I envy this little monkey his dip in the ocean.
I made a pocket of vellum to make the water and stitched it closed after adding a few fish and starfish sequins. I ct the image in two to pop the upper part on foam on the water surface.

      Red roses

It's been almost a month since my last post. But after a change of internet solution (which wasn't the smoothest), a holiday and a funeral (my Father in law) everyting is getting back to normal. A part from the weather, 30 degrees celsius isn't exactly normal, but I'm not complaining.
I treated myself to this stamp set of roses earlier this week and thought they would be suitable for the sketch over at Sunday Stamps.
I stamped the roses with red and black ink, a grey one for the script background and I also used a new set of dies to make the frame.

      This card is for:
      Sunday Stamps - #182 Sketch
