Snap

I had these gnomes from Stamping Bella colored up a few weeks ago but didn’t quite know what to do with them. Then the theme SNAP came up and with that the idea of using my film strip die from Marianne.
Then I thought maybe I could fit the gnomes into the filmstrip. They were too big, but I went on with it anyway, allowing their bodies to go outside of the film strip. I needed something to ground them, so I used a die cut stitched frame and black corrugated paper. I stamped a Christmas greeting in Norwegian.

    Leaf - thinking of you

I have made this card for this week's challenge over at Catch the Bug - it's a color challenge this week.

I used a leaf from the digi stamp set Mini set - Leaf blocks. It's one of  favorites and I immediately thought of it when seeing the color scheme.
I colored the leaf with three different green Promarkers and a white gel pen.
I roughed up the edges and adhered it to a green panel and a DP from KaiserKraft.
The sentiment is from Penny Black and I tucked a piece of ribbon beneath the panel.

    Geometric

Today I have two cards to share for the  Twofer Card challenge #8 where the theme is `geometric`. For both cards I used the Memory Box die `Mini Perfect Patches` to make my inchies, that means `square` is my choice of geometric shape.

Card 1) Dogs - Just because
This is the first card I made. I used dog stamps from a freebie set, a tree stamp from Hot off the Press,  a MFT wonky sticthed die and Maja DP. The sentiment - Just because - is from a paper pad from Kaisercraft.
    This card is also for:
Dream Valley Challenges - #184 ANIMALS
    Cardz 4 Galz - #78 Dies & Or Punches

    Card 1) Christmas
This card was inspired by the sketch over at LIM. First I stamped onto the card base, then I added m inchies and stamped a second time. I added a die cut merry from Tim Holtz, made the Christmas with my Dymo and added a few sequins.
    This card is also for:

    Gnome

I decided to play with one of Marina's sketches over at CCC and the gnome from Stamping Bella was my choice of stamp.
I cut it with a stitched circle die from MB, placed it on top of a doily die cut and added leaves.
The DP is Kaisercraft and I stamped a birthday greeting with white ink.

    Birthday hippos

Normally, what takes me the longest time when I’m having a go at a color challenge, is to pick what stamps or dies to use. Not this time! This weekend I treated myself to a stamp set from MFT with the cutest hippos and a Lawn Fawn pop up box die set, where the banner dies where included. The sentiment and frame die I also got this summer, so the only old items here are my Memory Box chevron die, the grey DI and the markers I used for coloring. I had ‘tons of fun’ making this card last night.

Birthday card for boy with a tag

I tend to make A2 sized cards, but for this boy card I used my dies from Kort&Godt to make the card base and kraft and DP layers. I chose papers with spots and stripes and a strip of burlap paper for texture.
MB dies were used for the seashells and starfish and also the leaves.
It's really rare that I add flowers to my cards, and I never use them on cards for boys, but here I made an exception and I feel (and hope) it isn't too girly.
I added twine and stamped the birthday greeting on a tag.
The image is from Whimsy Stamps and has been colored with Promarkers and a white gel pen.

Sketch with Scene It Snowmen fun

There's a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug and this is my inspiration card.

I found this sketch really fun, there are so many options on what to to with the top part of the sketch. I went with a very simple solution and used twine to divide my card into sections to mimic the sketch.
I used a freebie sentiment, a Tim Holtz embossing folder and the image  Scene it - Snowmen fun colored with Promarkers.

    This card is also for:

Card done in less than 10 minutes

Card in less than 10 mintes (08:51 to be exact) but I had everything out and it was my second attempt. My first card was made in less tahn 10 mintes too but I got a smudge, which always seem to happene when I'm making it a one layer...

I have a set of geometric shaped stamps, all the little packages came from that set and they all got stripes on the ones I used. The bows and mistletoe are from a Lawn Fawn set. Sentiment is Hero Arts. I scored some lines over and below the stamped area. Finally I used a brush to add some blue splatter.
