Over at Catch the Bug we have a color challenge this week.
I used the Owls and Flowers coloring page. I decided t go with the spotlight technique, cutting a portion with a circle die and coloring only this part, with Promarkers and a white gel pen. The die cut sentiment is made with a Penny Black die. The googly eyes I found in m stash.
This card is also for:

This is stunning Pia, and the google eyes are perfect! Your angel card is so peaceful and beautiful. Catching up after vacation.
ReplyDeleteThis card is adorable! I love the coloring page and what you did with it. I don’t see any stamping so I don’t think you’re eligible for the prize at Creative With Stamps, but the card is fabulous and had to leave a positive message. Oh yeah, and I love the addition of the eyes! Thanks for linking to the Creative With Stamps stamping card challenge blog. Dorlene DT CWS

ReplyDeleteForgot to answer your question about how long to make those cards. i did them over about 7 evenings.
Evening 1 - I cut all the card bases and then laid out the card front details in plastic sleeves and then added chose the design paper and any embellishments needed.
Evening 2 -I cut and glued all the design paper down.
Evening 3 - I assembled all the card toppers using die cuts that I had previously cut (from my stash that used to go to the lake).
Evening 4.- I used my Misti and stamped all the kid cards with the same prepeinted sentiment
and then changed to a prettier sentiment that combined printing and script for all the adult feminine cards.
Evening 5 -Stamped all the envelope fronts.
Evening 6 -Pencil crayoned all the envelope images and then stuffed a folded piece of paper in each envelope before I used gamsol to blend.
Evening 7 -Removed folded paper and matched cards with their envelopes and chose which three to place in each Avery Elle Envelope
It was great fun!
Love the spotlight effect!
