Paperdolls and snowflakes

I've fallen in love with the paperdolls from Tim Holtz and the snowflake stamp and die set fro Concord & 9th. Here they are used together on 2 cards, one feminine and one masculine.
I used a script stamp and white ink on kraft for the backgrounds and sprinkled on a little bit of white frantage for snow. The larger snowflakes are white embossed and covered with glitter paste.
The sentiment is a combo of a TH die and Dymo. The dolls were added on foam.

Bells or ornaments

We are back with a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug.

My immediate thought was to put my washi tapes to use. The image I used is Christmas Mouse - ornaments, and I didn't pay attention to the name because I was thinking bells and not ornaments, hence my choice of sentiment. Oh well....

Ink #201

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational - a word prompt - naughty.

A Tim Holtz sticker stating "naughty and nice list" was my starting point - so decided to go for a Santa cut out from a freebie paper and another freebie paper for the background. I added a die cut Lawn Fawn photo frame and die cut branches covered with glitter paste.

I'll be home for Christmas...

Here is another Christmas card ready and done.

I used a sweet image from Penny Black. I actually think it's from a birthday set, but by adding a glittery die cut tree I think it turned out festive. I colored with my Promarkers and added glossy accent to the car windows.

The embossed background I received from Monika of Creative with Monika some time ago.
The sentiment is a chipboard one from Tim Holtz - I've used these a lot on this year's cards.

Wreath/Flowers/Winter clothing

Christmas is quickly approaching and I got to get those last Christmas cards done. This card was surprisingly quick to make, I'm normally a slow card maker.

The wreath and dies used to decorate it are from the same Craft&You die set. I used glitter paste on the wreath and the poinsettias I ran through an embossing folder before inking the edges.
The girl is a paperdoll from Tim Holtz.
The background I stamped with white ink, using a script stamp.
Finally I added a sentiment and lots of liquid enamel accents around the wreath.

Silver bells and own made background

I try to have most of my Christmas cards ready and done by the end of November to limit any last minute stress (I said "try").

For this card I started making the background. I used a Tim Holtz stamp, heat embossed with white empossing powder on kraft. I added a little bit of gesso around the edges.
The image is from Bildmålarna, colored with Promarkers. Glitter glue was applied to the snowflake. She had a free hand, so I attached two silver bells on a string for her to hold. I added a chipboard sentiment and machine stitched around the edges.

Autumn cowboy

Over at Catch the Bug our challenge this week is a photo inspiration.

I was inspired by the fall colors.
The DP contains all the colors of the photo and I think the pattern asked for a cowboy.

I used a stitched die and added the image onto a panel of burlap paper and added raffia and brown string.

Skating mice

The sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch gave me the opportunity to use my brand new frame stamp by Altenew straight away.

I decorated the frame with skating mice from Lawn Fawn, fussy cut and spread around the frame. The sentiment and two of the snowflakes came with the same LF set.
I've seen aqua and red Christmas cards around in blogland, and now that I've given it a try I think it's  my new favorite color scheme for Christmas, in addition to the traditional red and green.

Ink #198 Mask

A new challenge went live at Inkspirational yesterday and for the next two weeks the challenge theme is MASK.

I used the Bo Bunny Feeling Festive stamp set. I've always been fascinated by the Matryoshka dolls and their painted faces. I stamped the row of nesting dolls using the masking techniqe before adding the tree from the same set and a Hero Arts sentiment. Next I stamped a few extra dolls, fussy cut and colored the with Promarkers before glueing them onto the row of black and white ones. I added frantage and placed the panel onto a DP with green leaves.
