You are precious

Today starts a new challenge over at Catch the Bug and our challenge this week we have a photo of penguins.

I used an image with a penguin from Snowman Set 02 and I was also inspired by the snow.

For the the panel I mixed blue, green and yelllow DIs. I used a stitched hill dies(Poppy), a bubble speech stitched die  and stitched frame die (MFT). The sentiment is from Altenew. I mounted the panel onto an embossed snowflake background.

This card is for:

Ink #205 Glitz/Glitter

We have bew challenge for you at Inkspirational. This challenge we'd like to see some glittery stuff - glitter, shimmer paste, anything shiny on a strip or small area of your work. Please head over to the challenge blog to see inspiration from my teamies.
I actually made two cards, one feminine and one masculine.

1) Feminine card
I mixed old and new wahi tapes, one is a glitter one, on a black card base. I stamped a few birthday sentimnets. The woman is actually a fairy from Stamping Bella, but I removed her wings. I added 3 sparkly pearls.
This card is also for:
Alphabet Challenge - U is for USE WASHIE TAPE
Do-Al(l) Kreatives - #37 Three of a Kind

2) Masculine card
This card is made with the same concept as the feminine one, mixing bits of washi tapes. The background is a mop up of inks and a bit of splatter. I used a die cut silhouette and blue colors, being inspired by the book cover of  "Where the Red Fern Grow" over at The Library Challenge.

Twofer Card Challenge - Hearts and 2nd blogaversary

Here are my two cards for the Twofer Card Challenge #23, where the theme is HEARTS.
For both cards I used a heart die from Xcut/Docrafts. I made a card for a non specific occasion and a card with a choice of sentiment to congratulate someone on their birthday, on a new job or a new home.

1) "A balanced diet is a cupcake in each hand"
That's what this sentiment in Norwegian says. I think it's fun and works for a card for many or no occasion at all. A really old DP (Bo Bunny?) and the image is a pre colored topper from Katy Sue Designs.
This card is also for:
Allsorts - #555 More Than A Single Word Sentiment
Crafty Catz - #489 ANYTHING GOES WITH OPTIONAL TWIST FUNNY

2) "Congratulations on..."
I used a sentiment where you can tick off for the appropriate occasion, the choices being a birthday, a new job or a new home. I think this DP is from Bo Bunny, I used a spellbinder oval frame and a sticthed rectangular frame from MFT. The image is a pre-colored topper from Katy Sue Designs, which is also my "new" item.
This card is also for:

Bugaboo's 10th birthday - Day 6 - Color challenge

Over at Catch the Bug we're having a week long birthday bash - Bugaboo is celebrating its 10th birthday. You can see a list of all challenges for this celebration week here so you can work ahead.

I made my card using the image Ewe Move Me, colored with Promarkers.
If you're a regular follower you might have noticed I've been having lots of fun with my inks and brushos lately, but this is the last one of the batch I made. This is probably my favorite one, I like how it came out with the stamped grass and flowers.

For day 4 the theme is "BINGO".
I made my card using the new realease image. The background is made with just a few splatter of inks and brusho, I stamped a few curly party elements (no idea what they're called), added a piece of washi, ribbon and sentiment and stitchem them in place. The frame is made with a die from Altenew, which I glues and stapled in place.

Ink #204 Fauna

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational. This challenge we'd like you to be inspired by the word 'Fauna'.

Yup, it's January, and I've already started making this year's Christmas cards. Here I used a stamp set from Avery Elle, new to me and used for the first time. I gave the arctic animals paper pieced hats and scarf, the sentiment is a combination of Dymo and die. A DP used as background. A clean and light weight card ready and done!
Please head over to the challenge blog to see inspiration from my teamies.

First Stella Says Sketch of 2020

We are back with the first sketch challenge of 2020 over at Catch the Bug.

I colored up Dog Heart topper with Promarkers.
I placed it onto a background made with Distress Oxides and brusho. Using my stamping platform I first stamped the sentiment onto the background, then I added the image and stamped again. I think the sentiment came out nicely and without the booboos I feared would happen.
Along the edges I added a brand new washi tape.

Distress Oxides and brushos

Today starts the first challenge of 2020 over at Catch the Bug our challenge this week is Anything goes.

I used a pup holding a heart, colored with Promarkers.

For the background I tried something new for me, misxing Distress Oxides in reds and pinks and a little bit of brusho. I finally got hold of some watercolor paper, which I managed to keep quite flat.

I used a leftover piece of DP with hearts.
The sentiment is part of a new die/stamp set from Concord & 9th.

This card is for:
Alphabet Challenge - T IS FOR TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT
Craft Rocket Challenges - #66 Something New
Moving along with the Times - #114 All Things New

First Christmas card for 2020

I hope you all had a great start on the new year. Since I had lots of Christmas items on my desk and I got a magazine with a freebie set of of cute Christmas cats I thought I would get started on this year's Christmas cards - only 11 months left before they need to get posted, lol.
I was inspired by the colors at Color Throwdown and was mindful of keeping my card light weight for postage.
I embossed the background, added a die cut scene all in white, added a chipboard sentiment and colored my cat with Promarkers.

This card is for:
Color Throwdown- #574
Sweet Stampers - #38 Christmas
Allsorts - 551/2 Anything Goes
