Autumn leaves

Today starts a new challenge over at Catch the Bug. It's a photo, I was inspired by the autumn colored leaves on the trees.

I used images from the set Mini Set - Leaf blocks, colored with Promarkers. The sentiment is made with dies from Concord&9th and Penny Black. I used golden ink for splatter and I also gently pushed the die cuts against the ink pad to get some gold on the sentiment as well. Finallay I added 3 enamel dots from my stash.

Gnomes X 2

I have made two cards using the same gnome from Stamping Bella and the same basis layout - one for him and one for her. It's been a long time since I made something other than A2 size - these are square ones measuring 4x4 inches, practical for postage. All papers used are from Maja Design. The flowers and hat are paper pieced.

The masculine version is for: We Love Chocolate Baroque - September: Wings/Anything Goes

The feminine version is for: Allsorts - #589 My Lovely Garden

Sketch #815 with Gus Birthday - Old Fart

Today starts a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug. I used Gus Birthday - Old Fart.

I decided on using blue and green as my main colors, found a DP from Maja Design where I could use both the front and back, a blue and green paper for panneling and a dotted green ribbon.
I colored the image with Promarkers and a white gel pen. The sentiment is a fun birthday one in Norwegian.

Ink #222 Day

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational and this time it's a word prompt: DAY. There are so many options, but I went with a card suitable for the occasion of an engagement, a wedding or anniversary, for a mature couple who would keep things rather on the simple side and not too formal.

The pigs are made with clear stamps from an Aall & Create set. I gave them paper pieced clothings using scraps, and Mrs Pig also got enamel liquid pearls for her necklace.
The sentiment is from MFT. I used fun foam for the die cut heart background and red mirri card for the smaller one.

Please head over to the challenge blog to see what the my INK-teamies have made.

Autumn and winter trees

Here are my two cards for the Twofer Card Challenge #31, where the theme is TREES.
For both cards I used a tree stamp which is part of a Hero Arts set.
I made a "thinking of you" card and a Christmas card.

Card #1:
For this card I used a freebie sentiment, all other stamps belong to the same Hero Arts set.
I used brown, orange, green and gold inks to create an autumnal scene. I used the gold ink with water to make splatter.

This card is also for:
Moving along with the Times - #122 Create A Scene
Crafty Gals Corner - #211 Fall colors

Card #2:
The layout is inspired by the sketch below.
Allsorts celebrate their birthday and would like to see us use things we love - I've used frantage and my preferred sentiment combination, using my Dymo and a die.
The background is made with a stamp from Concord&9th' Seasonal borders stamp set along with purple inks from Altenew - the "Enchanted Garden" kit. All other stamps are from Hero Arts, as is the die cut "Christmas".

Down on the farm

Today starts a new challenge over at Catch the Bug, with the theme of "Down on the farm".

Autumn is on its way, there's a chill in the air and leaves are slowly starting turning yellow, so I opted for an autumn colored card for the image (Scene it - cow trio). The image is colored with Promarkers and cut with a photo frame die from Lawn Fawn.

I made my own background using an embossing folder, gelatos and mists.
I also used several die cut leaves, a skeleton leaf and flowers from my stash. I have many flowers but you seldom see them on my cards, I have a hard time arranging them in a non-messy fashion.

This card is also for:

Sketch #814 with Gus Tidbits Consciousness

Today starts a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug.
I used Gus Tidbits Consciousness and made my own background. I spritzed with Art Anthology mists and used Distress Oxides with a coffee themed stamp. I found enamel dots in my stash that coordinated with the colors of the background. I stamped a birthday greeting in Norwegian.

Ink #221 Birthday photo

For our new challenge at Inkspirational we have a photo inpiration for you.  I was inspired by the balloons and the checkered floor.
I used a cat stamp from Penny Black and fussy cut it, placed it onto a die cut clock (Marianne).
I used Art Anthology mist for the background and a stencil together with silver Nuvo. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
