Sketch, DP and Christmas

I love playing with sketches and I'm seriously behind on my Christmas cards this year, so I'm happy to have one more done.
I used a striped DP from Vicki Boutin, a sentiment cut out from a DP that came free with a magazine, washi tape and stamps from Avery Elle. I also added a snowflake sequin and a rhinestone as final finishing touch.

INK #242-Maritime

For our new challenge at Inkspirational we have a word prompt: MARITIME.

I wanted to try a collage style card, using many of my maritime inspired stamps. Most of them are from two different sets from Graphic 45, but I've also used a script stamp from Kort og Godt, a map one from Prima, a fishing net from KaiserCraft and a sentiment from TPC Studio. I believe I have used 18 stamps in total, which would be a record for me! I used 5 different inks: Versafine Onyx Black, Memento Desert Sand and 3 Distress Oxides: Tattered rose, Walnut stain and Speckled egg. I added a little bit of bling to avoid it being totally flat yeat heavy feeling.
Please head over to the challenge blog to see the wonderful makes of my INK-teamies.

Sunbonnet Beach - This week's freebie

Happy Friday! I'm here to show you my card featuring the Bugaboo Freebie Friday - you can pick it up at no cost for one week by clicking here.
This will be my last Bugaboo card for a while as I need a little break for personal reasons. I hope, however, to find mojo and time again to craft other stuff, as it's quite an important relaxing activity for me.

I used a slimline die with circle cuts, as well as dies from Marianne, Poppy and Memory Box for the details. I kept to blue, brown and kraft colors. Coloring with Promarkers.

Ink #241 - Slimline card

For our new challenge at Inkspirational Marlena has chosen 'slimline cards'.

I made a card for a baby boy, using an image from A Day for Daisies and a slimline die with circle cuts. Instead of adding the balloon and bunny next to eachother I added a blank circle in the middle and drew the string, I added a die cut sentiment and a crown.

Growing up is optional

Today starts a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug - we are now doing biweekly Anything goes challenges and biweekly sketch challenges on alternate weeks.

For this card I chose Gus Birthday - Optional - I used part of the image and sentiment that came with it.
My favorite Distress Oxide color is the speckled egg one, here I used it with several stencils and I added orange too, I love this color combo.
I stamped with random choice of stamps and fussy cut a stamped candle border from Lawn Fawn.
I used a black Posca pen to make frames for the senitmensta nd the dotted line around the edges of the card.
