CAS Tree branch with flowers and dragonfly

I have used a Memory Box die to cut out the tree branch from kraft paper.

The flowers are handmade. I tore the paper as I didn't want them to look too neat.

The dragonfly is cut out of a design paper, and I have added some Star Dust glitter glue to its wings and in the middle of the flowers.

The sentiment I made on my computer and printed it.

Except for the white card base I have only used scrap papers. Feels good to make use of those scraps from time to time too.

A clean and simple card with pastel colors!

I enter this card into the following challenges:
1) Shelly's Images - Pastels, kraft & flowers
2) CAS-ual Fridays - Flowers / Trees
3) Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday – Rolled Paper
4) 4 Crafty Chicks - No stamping

YIHA!

I've had this Core'dinations paper for a while, but I didn't feel I had any stamps or images to use with it. I won a challenge at "Cards for Men" and the gift was digis from Digital Delights by Louby Loo, and one of my picks was this cowboy silhoutte. This is the first time I use a digi, and to use it I had to invest in a printer first (yippee - a printer is so great to have when papercrafting!).
I used a ticket stamp with greeting for the sentiment, and I have used dies to cut out the stars - using scrap papers only. The Core'dinations paper has been sanded to bring out the star pattern, and I have also sanded along the edges to give a distressed look. The kraft paper stars have been distressed with brown ink.

I think the theme is perfect for a boy - what little boy has never played cowboys and the Wild West, even dreamt of being a cowboy himself....
This was a really fun card to make!

CAS Birds and Clouds

I used a sketch from "Less is More" Challenge Blog as inspiration for the layout.

I wanted to go with gray and white colors only. The ink's color is called "London Fog".
To give the card just a tiny bit of sparkle I added Star Dust Stickles to the birds' wings.

I have used stamps for the birds, clouds and sentiment, the fence is cut out using a die.

I enter this card into the following challenges:
1) Less Is More - #65 Sketch
2) Crop Stop - Birds
3) Inked Paws - Clean & simple
4) Fab 'n' Funky - #118 no DP
5) Paper Pretties -PPC203 clean and simple

Enjoying life!

I think this Stamping Bella stamp is so fun and just perfect for a card for summer!
I have colored the stamped image using watercolor pencils.
I chose papers in bright, happy colors, mainly pinks and yellows.
I have used a polka dot embossing folder on the sides, and I even embossed the yellow flowers that I cut out using dies.
I tried stitching for the first time on a card! I used a dark pink thread, and to add some more yellow I used yellow ribbon.

X-mas Card Red&White with stamp "Mimosa Snowflake"

I got this stamp from "Bildmålarna" yesterday, and I just had to use it straight away.

I have used two Sizzix embossing folders, one with snowflakes and one with dots.

I have also used two different dies, the oval and the label on which the sentiment is stamped. Both dies are from x-Cut.

I have added Diamond glitter glue around the embossed background, around the ovals, on the snowflake in the girl's hand and on the sentiment.

Red and white paper and 2 red buttons- that's it!

Sketch -blues, whites and browns

My inspiration for this card I got from a sketch at Frosted Designs. I am sure that I will use this sketch  several times in the future!

I wasn't planning to go for a vintage style when I started out, I meant to keep the card rather clean, and I think I ended up with a result somewhere in between...

I have used three different design papers, flowers, lace, ribbon and a metal butterfly. The image is cut out from a design paper, the text is stamped.

I enter his card into the following challenges:
1) Frosted Designs -Sketch #16

Candle Holder - Recycled Jam Jar

I read somewhere that Norwegians burn over 200 million tea lights a year. Apparently this means that we have the highest use pr inhabitant in the world, with approx 40 pr person! Must be due to our long and dark winters...
Anyway, I tend to keep empty glass jars - I clean them and remove the labels, and then I make my own candle holders. Before I started making cards, and really got into paper craft, I used to decorate them with decoupage, using paper napkins, or stickers.
In general I decorate the top and bottom of the jar to let the lights shine through.

For this jar I have used: lace,  ribbon, paper flowers, rub-ons (butterfly and birds) and a die-cut swirl.
For the choice of colors I got my inspiration from challenge #26 at The Ribbon Reel.

I know I might be disqualified for some challenges (though I think most accept "projects" and not only cards), but I just wanted to share an idea based on recycling. It's also an activity which is great to do with kids, let them decorate the empty jars with whatever they want (they will surely come up with great ideas themselves!).

I enter this candle holder into the following challenges:

Christmas Door with Gingham

I love this stamp from Papermania - I think it's really Chritmas-y.
I started this card with my stamped image, and I decided to go with papers that would pick up the reds and greens from the image.
I used plaid design paper in red&white and green paper for the pine branches.
I have a lot of buttons, so I decided to add a bit of colors to the branches with those, and I also used a bit of white lace.

I enter this card into the following challenges:
1) Christmas Crafting - #10 Gingham
2) The Crafty Pad - #166 Bounty of Buttons
3) Crazy 4 Challenges - #C4C132 Using Buttons

Christmas in grey and pink

I just love this paper with trees in different shades of pink on a grey background. I think it's a nice variation from the more traditional Christmas colors.
I wanted to keep the background neutral so I just embossed the white paper.
Tilda has been colored in different shades of pink to match the design paper.
I wanted to keep the card rather simple, with few embellishments, so I have only added white twine and a tree charm, which I think suits the theme of the design paper. The sentiment is stamped on grey paper.

I enter this card into the following challenges:
1) Winter Wonderland - Pretty in Pink

CAS Christmas Tree - 3 shades of green

OK. First of all, green is not my favorite color. Second, I love CAS cards but it's not something I master. Third, it's impossible for me to take a good picture that really shows the true colors whenever greens are involved...
But still, I couldn't resist to have a go at the "Less is more" challenge! If one never tries, well... So I look at this card challenge as a good learning experience!
The tree is made of papers in 2 different shades of green. I used a die and glued the strips together before I cut a triangular shape. The ribbon is also in a shade of green, I used a dotty embossing folder to make the background appear as snow. The star at the top of the tree is a brad.

I enter this card into the following challenges:
1) "Less is More"  - Week 62 Three Shades of Green
2) Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge - #67 White Christmas
