Wings

It's time a for a new challenge over at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday  and the twist for this week's challenge is "Wings". The sponsor for this month is Nicecrane designs.

I don't do girly cards very often, and I've never used green on my card unless it was a requirement for a challenge I wanted to participate in, but this sweet image from Nicecrane designs did inspire me to go out of my comfort zone for my DT card.

I colored the image with Promarkers. The green DP is from Webster's pages. I machine stitched with white thread around the edges. I used a Marianne die to cut the birdhouse and a Memory Box die to make the 3 die cut birds. The sentiment is a rub-on and translates "For you" in Norwegian. For the banner I used a Kaisercraft clear stamp. I heat embossed it with white powder on white background. Pearls and flowers from my stash - I don't use flowers very often on my cards, so I've got quite a lot of  them  in my stash.

    Beautiful image coloured so nicely Pia, love the little bird house it's gorgeous. I don't mind the green. Actually I have taken a liking for this colour and once hated it. love the flew flowers too.xx

    This is so pretty. I know you always say that you don't make girly cards very often...but you are very talented at girly!
    The image is so pretty, the birdcage die is wonderful and love the little 3D bird outside the cage.
