Swallows

Over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday, this week's optional twist is WINGS. I've used an image called "Resting Swallows" from Delicious Doodles that you can purchase through http://api.ning.com/files/aX2yEHaS8Jk2DH8fwoAbgmm2-lnqxPsQBGeMaXKmAeluM*ikFbs7RvkTAltEtRdMWwndU*0*roWxdep7CM6pk0jyLzt7*qDg/papertemptress.gif Stitchy Bear Designs - one of our sponsors for the month of May. We also have  Paper Temptress. To be in the chance of winning one of these prizes all you need to do is enter one of our challenges in May, and do you wish to use the twist you'll earn an extra entry in the draw.
I didn't use any patterned papers for this card. I printed the image onto white cardstock and sprinkled it with glimmer mist. For texture I added a bit of cheesecloth behind the image and cut out flowers from a beautiful lace I found while I was in Latvia. The leaves are made with a Memory Box die. I also added 11 gems.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes / No Designer Papers
2) Crafty Boots - Blue & White
3) Crafty Creations - #263 Use Two: flowers, diecut, ribbon, purple (flowers and diecut)

  1. These are beautiful perched all together. By the silhouette I thought they were Scissor Tail Fly Catchers. I love watching the swallows swoop and dive! They are wonderful on this blue and white background Pia.

  23. What a nice mix of textures and elements Pia! I just realized I called the cheesecloth "netting" on one of your other cards. I would never had thought to use that on a card if I hadn't seen you do it. Thanks for the inspiration. Hugs D
