I just had to have this stamp from Stampendous! This is the first time I use it, and for my first attempt I chose to stamp directly onto a DP, using gold embossing powder and a Marianne DP. I heat embossed with gold on gold for the background, using a stamp from Kort&Godt. I attached the background to a light blue paper and then onto a gold A2 card base. To avoid the cups hanging in mid air I used half a doily as a table cloth. I used blue seambinding ribbon to attach the spoon metal charm.
A birthday greeting was stamped and heat set, gold on white.

Oh my gish! Pia, this is beautiful. I have been eyeing up this stamp too!
ReplyDeleteI had spoken to myself most firmly about not buying more items before the move...but i may just have to get this stamp now!!!
I like the embossed look of it. So delicate and pretty. I have a confession. I used to be a collector of a couple of fine china patterns. I have downsized them completely as well and will only take a white set with a gilded edge with me to the new house.
So you see, I could still collect china...stamped images of china at least...teehee
Nothing beats a good cup of tea in a china cup or a coffee in a china mug.
Wonderful card, Pia!
Wow! Very elegant card and I like that spoon charm! :)
ReplyDeleteI must try the gold embossing on DSP, it is a clever way to look like you are really good at paper piecing! The spoon, doily combo works well x
