Football card

Over at Outlawz Twisted Thursday our challenge theme this week is "Anything Goes" without a twist. Our sponsor for March is the Outlawz Challenges with this
Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 7 set as the prize for one lucky winner.

I love LOTV images, and this young footballer looks like my nephew Noah, who will turn 8 years in May. The card is far more busy than what I normally make, but I had a fun time making it.
I used dies from Die Namics to make the letters, I used a black pen to highlight them. The fence is made with a die from Marianne, the cloud and number 8 are Memory Box. I cut out some bingo boards from a DP, added string and a metal football charm, and I used my Dymo to make the birthday sentiment. The blue DPs are from Pebbles. I stitched around the edges, used a bit of burlap paper and some wooden stars.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Inspiration Destination - #26 Always Anything Goes
2) Digi Choosday Challenge - #12 Lots of Layers
3) Papertake Weekly - A Cut Above
4) Penny's Paper-Crafty - #220 Boys & Girls Come Out To Play

  8. Hi Pia,

Just wanted to pop in to say that the design you have there is so adorable, it really comes to life in front of ones eyes.

The use of the Dymo tape really adds to the 'pop' that this design has produced.

Great job and a great share!

    With best regards,

  14. Me too love the LOTV stamps, and this little footballer is very sweet, I'm sure that your nephew will be happy of it and of his name!
The letters look great with the black border, great simple idea, I will try!
Love how you made the background, the trapezoidal piece of blue DP matches well with the more light paper and the burlap. All the details are very beautiful and give to the card a "pop effect" so pretty

  18. Me again!
Forgot to say that snow sounds terrible for this time of year! The city must be suffering from the wright of it, as you say.

When I was first married, we lived for about 5 years in the Rocky Mountains in an area called the Kootenay's. We could get snow until may most years, but once got a killing frost on the July 1st weekend! Winter went down to 40 or 45 below zero

Now we live beside Vancouver and get rain , rain , and more rain! Umbrella stores do well here! Lol

  25. Pia, it's perfect! It may be more than you normally add, but looking at it, you need it all on there. The play with words, the celebration age, the fence, the cloud, his name and that fabulous image, it's all so wonderful! What a fantastic card. Sounds to me like he knows he's loved. :)
Hugs to you and have a super weekend.

  26. I love the LOTV images too and this one is a perfect image for a young man. Great colors in the neutral palatte, with the cute ticket, dimensional fencing and the burlap. Like the plaid base too. Loved the extra detail of the sentiment which looks like one of the Dynamo tags that are used for labeling. Just right for a 'boy' card. He will love it! TFS & Happy wkend.
