Blue Bird

Over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday we have a new ANYTHING GOES challenge for you, no twist this week, really simple. Our sponsor for July is Sami Stamps.
I used an image from a Tim Holtz stamp set for my card. He looks sick poor  thing, all blue in his face. I had a piece of paper I had added different blue inks to and I stamped on this paper, heat embossing with black EP. I stamped his eyes on white paper, cut them out and mounted them on foam. I used a white die cut memory Box heart and a die cut LawnFawn panel with Kaisercraft DP and I spritzed the kraft paper with blue jeans colored mist. The sentiment, from Technique Tuesday, is heat embossed with silver EP and I added three sequins.

    I really like this card Pia. I like how you used different inks then stamoed and gave his eyes a pop us and the spritzed background perfect! I thik you are getting more CAS?

    He seems as a bird rejected in love, with this big heart with crossed stitching and the background that looks as a closed door.
    ...Poor bird, he need sure some hugs. :)
    The eyes pop out so well and love the neutral colours with different blue!

    How does that old saying go? "May the bluebird of happiness fly up your nose?" Is that right? I sort of get it, but then again, I totally don't. I do however get your card and I LOVE IT!! He's precious and completely worthy of many hugs and judging by his size, I'd prefer he steer clear of my nose...preferably...LOL!

    Pia, I love those Tim Holtz's birds and the die cuts are wonderful. Great job with the coloring and the sentiment is perfect because he looks like he needs a hug. Nice layout.

    This is such a fantastic CASE of Alice's card and I just love those Tim Holtz birds, they are hilarious!! I think the blue colouring looks fabulous and love the layered white heart on the woodgrain. So very glad you joined us at TIME OUT!

    Aren't these CB guys just goofy & cute? Like him in blue. There's a die set available. Found it after I got the stamp set and 'think' I've got it backordered somewhere! Like the eyes detail, and like that you did him in blues. Love the shapes & layers little sicko CB is perched against. He is bound to feel better with such a pretty background. TFS
