Tuesday is new release day over at Bugaboo and this is one of Jodie's latest images.
Though she's not specifically nautically dressed (she actually reminds me of Annie - from the movie with the same title) I thought I'd make her a nautical themed scene. I colored her with my Promarkers, and chose red, white and blue papers. The white paper is embossed using a Spellbinders EF, the DP is from Maja Design. The frame is cut using a stitched rectangle die from Dienamics, and I decorated it using Memory Box die cuts. The sentiment is cut from a paper and I also added some cheese cloth. The layout is inspired by the sketch over at Sketch Saturday.
I'd like to enter my card in these challenges:
1) Sketch Saturday - Sketch #368
2) Brown Sugar – #153 Red, White & Blue
3) Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge - #233 Red, White & Blue
4) C.R.A.F.T. - #318 Embossing
I also wanted to let you know there will be a week long Christmas in July
event over at Catch the Bug as from July 11.

Beautiful card Pia..Loz
ReplyDeleteThis little cutie does indeed look like the Annie character (must be the curls!). Love the design of this card and the color combo works great for a nautical theme. Very crisp & proper - just like what one would see on a boat hull. Also loved your detailing of the seaside goodies trimming those frames, and that rope pattern on the EF is perfectly paired as well. Simply adorable card. TFS & Have a great week! Hugs
ReplyDeleteA fabulous card Pia, such a pretty image and great nautical theme.

Cute girl and she looks great sit down on the frame! Love the gorgous embossed background and the little stars and seashells with the cheesecloth. A nautical theme made very well!
ReplyDeleteThat's ironic! I was just singing "it's a hard knock life" to my daughter as she finally decided to wake up at 2! ;) It's Summer so I don't mind, but your card IS reminiscent of Annie and it's beautiful the way you've arranged her with the nautical elements.
ReplyDeleteHave a good one and hugs to you,
Lisa x
