I struggle a bit with color challanges, so instead of going hunting for designer papers in my stash to find papers that would fit colorwise, I pulled out my inks.
I used them to color the images, there's a mix of DI squeeezed lemonade, wild honey, fired brick, aged mahogny and a walnut stain in there.
I attached the images to burlap paper, then to corrugated card board which I added som aged gold frantage to. I found 3 buttons in autumnal colors in my stash and added those and some brown string.
The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn and is heat set with Queen's Gold EP.

I would never guess that you struggle with color challenges, because your cards are always spot-on with the combinations of colors that you choose. I love this one, with the texture of the corrugated background, that tan burlap and the wonderful fall leaves. A lovely way to present the different leaf shapes as you've done the squares and I love the button trims. Looks really pretty against the dark chocolate background with the mustard coloring on the corrugated mat. So many textures and the neutral colors look wonderful together. TFS & happy wkend. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI struggle with color challenges too. You did a great job using your ink palette and i like the burlap behind the leaves squares. Wonderful Fall card, Pia.
ReplyDeleteI love fall [Autumn] Pia..the colours just draw me in and I love the crunch of the leaves underfoot..love your Fall card design, the burlap with the leaves on the corrugated card [my favourite stuff]..look wonderful..

Pia, loving all the texture! Really adds to the fall-feel: layers, cozy... now I just want some coffee and a pumpkin donut! Regarding gold: so funny, I don't have gold EP but I have gold leaf! (I have pewter and silver and every other color EP, but not GOLD! Need to get some, and I recommend gold liquid leaf to you. .. so vibrant and fun)
