I was given this beautiful cardinal image by my blogfriend Monika of Creative with Monika (Thank you so much!) She has opened up an Etsy Shop with a friend who makes digital images. The shop is called JavaCardLineArt.
I have to admit I've never seen a cardinal IRL. I actually became aware of their existence in blogland. So I didn't know how to color them up, but with a little help from Google I found lots of images for guidance.
I used my Marianne window die and added lace I got from Mervi in the window, so that it looks like they're sitting outside peeping in. I punched a few branches and added loose glitter to them and to the window. The window is mounted onto a paper dry embossed with a folder from Darice. Papers from Maja Design. Christmas greeting in Norwegian and branches with red berries from my stash.
This card is also for these challenges:
The Glory of Christmas - #71 Glitter and/orShine
Fab 'n' Funky - #280 Die Cuts and/or Punches
Inspiration Destination - #58 Always Anything Goes
Glitter n Sparkle - #162 Use Some Red
