Mouse and Balloons

I'm here to share my DT card for the new challenge over at Catch the Bug,  this week it's all about COLORS.

December is just around the corner, but I needed a birthday card for a teenaged boy, so I made a CAS card with a dymo sentiment and an image with plenty of balloons, colored with Promarkers. You can find the image in the Bugaboo store here. I used a black pen to draw a thin line around the edges. And for a bit of color I added die cut hearts made with a Lawn Fawn die. And that's about it.

    What a perfect colour combo for this image - I like that your balloons are quite a restrained colour but the hearts really pop out.

    The one layer cards are quick to make, but also a bit difficult, for me. Too clean for my skills :)
    You have made a great work with this cute mouse and these balloons! And have added few of perfect details with these vibrant little hearts and the dymo sentiment, I think this is perfect for a teenager!

    I love your border! Adds that "casualness" befitting of a teen boy! And the tape-label fits also. Of course, your coloring looks professional (which it is), and I adore the image :)

    Hello, Pia! Your card is so adorable! What a sweet image! I love your colouring, and I like this colour inspiration too! I think a Dymo sentiment fits any card and I like to use mine too! I notice that some stamp companies are making sentiment stamps that look like they were made on the Dymo - I think, why not just use the Dymo!

    Cards for boys... not the easiest thing to do. And teenage boys?! That's a challenge on its own. But you cracked it with this one. It's simple, fun and the little hearts add a special touch without going over the top. Perfectly balanced card, Pia.
