Winter birdies

There's a new challenge over at  Outlawz Twisted Thursday,  and this week the optional twist is THINGS WITH WINGS. I used an image from our sponsor this month, Ppinkydolls, colored up with Promarkers.

Since Christmas is sneaking up on us I decided to give this non-Christmas image a Christmasy look, so I added frantage for snow and punched pine branches. I framed the scene using a stitched frame die from Dienamics and decorated it with a bow made with a Tim Holtz die.The sentiment is a piece of fabric and I also added some cheesecloth.

    Such a cute card! I love those birds-- great image-- your coloring looks painted! The branches are perfect, and of course the texture the cheesecloth gives is awesome-- I wouldn't have thought to do that! You rock.

    These birds look so perfect as a Christmas card, Pia. The little touches made for a gorgeous card. I especially like the addition of the cheesecloth. Quite unique!

    This card turned out so beautifully, Pia! Your embellishments make this so christmasy and sweet! I have never used cheesecloth on my cards but LOVE it here! I'll have to try that soon!
