Quick and easy Christmas cards with die cut reindeer

I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas. I did and Santa was very kind to me. Tomorrow it's back to work, 3 days, then a break for New Year.

I wanted to show you two of my quick and easy Christmas cards, involving stamping, heat embossing and die cutting. For both cards I used a stamp from Tim Holtz and gold embossing powder.

Card #1:
Negative die cut.
I used brown cardstock, I cut out a reindeer, added foam for dimension and added my embossed paper. Only embellishment used was string.
This card is for Less Is More Homespun

Card #2:
Inlaid die cut
For this card I used the cut from card #1 and embossed the brown panel. I also added string with two gold bells from Marianne and a sentiment sticker saying Happy Chsristmas in Norwegian.
The embossed panel was raised on foam.
This card is for Twofers #10 Holiday

  24. What beautiful cards. The reindeer die is stunning and it works well used in both these ways. I love the nordic stamp, and I must add one to my stash. I think Card #1 is my favourite here, just love its CAS nature.

  28. So funny how the cards are so similar and yet two totally different cards with two very different "feels." It's cards like these that cause me to suggest to you: make more!-- you can add almost any sentiment, and it would be so fun to see all the different outcomes!
Glad you had a great xmas, and looking forward to all of your crafts in 2016!
