How many candles!?

This the fifth day of a week long event over at Catch the Bug - Bugaboo is celebrating its 6th birthday! For day 5 we have a simple challenge - make a humorous zoo or jungle themed project.

I picked inspiration from the sketch over at Sketch Saturday and I embossed and tried to follow the color scheme from the photo over at HoC.

a door tonesThe elepehant is colored with Promarkers and I added glitter to the balloon. The sentimenmt was part of a set that came free with a magazine years ago. I love washis but find it hard to use them, but I included two strips of different ones here as well as ribbon. I machine stitched around the edges.

    Beautiful clean and simple card Pia, you came again to your own style!
    I think that the partial polka embossing is the magical touch that makes your card very classy. Love it!! I would never have succeeded in studying this detail, I would have added and added... and added.. embellishments ...lol... :D
    Fun elephant with the glittered balloon! And the little strips of washi tape looks so well with the vertical lace and the ribbon!
