My first Christmas card in 2016

... includes a pair of robins, I received this stamp in December as a calendar gift from my mom.

I believe robins have more black in the facial region but I didn't want to cover up their cute faces, so a little bit of artistic freedom here...

I fussy cut the image and placed it onto a die cut branch and heart from Memory Box. I added glitter to the branch for snow, the stars are made with a stencil from Memory Box, gesso and I put glitter on top for an extra sparkle.

I used a Lawn Fawn sentiment to stamp directly onto the striped DP.

    How cute are these robins!!! Their faces say "peace and love".... Wonderful! Also the colours you have choosen and this tone of blue background with the heart and the stars are wonderful!! Amazing card, love it so much!!

    So cute! Our American Robins do have gray or black heads, but my fave are make-believe birds! And you used a stencil! Come on... you are SOOO back in craft shape after the holidays. Also, that branch looks like a real twig-- amazing.

    Aw, this is sweet! The robins are adorable! Sounds like that calendar gift had some fun products - I have not heard of a calendar with crafting goodies before - what a wonderful gift from your Mom! Looks like you stitched around the edge of this - it looks awesome!
