Gift card holder

Happy Monday! I'm here to share my DT project for "Anything But a Card" Monday over at Catch the Bug, featuring  one of the images from the birthday to ewe trio set.

I made a gift card holder, my first one, quite freehand.
I used Spellbinder dies to make the rounded flap  and a leftover piece of DP.
I made a belt to keep the holder closed, using corrugated card stock, decorated with ribbon, twine and a pin.
I mounted the image onto die cut banners made with Dienamics dies.

    I just really love your colors here... That black makes the card so hip, and the embossed background adds such perfect interest! And all of your elements (including the belt) are brilliant!

    Congrats for your first gift card holder, Pia, it has come so pretty and stunning!!
    The black cardstock looks great with the embossing and the red dots!! I think this gift card is perfect for young people with these banners and the fun sheep! Love the cool pin with the twine and the corrugate stripe! Very well done!

    Well done on your first gift card holder (I've never made one either!)

    It's simply adorable with the cute digi & I love all the embellies you've added to dress up the image too. Like the shapes & polka dots with the black tesxture...and great idea to add the little button & twine as closure. Good job! TFS & Hugs

    I admire that you can do this by hand. One of the reasons I bought a Silhouette is because I cannot measure and cut straight! This is a great.
