I used an image from our sponsor for February - Make it Crafty, colored with Promarkers.
I chose to make my card a non-Valentine one, but I think it showcases the love a child can show a favorite stuffed animal or teddy - look at the way this fairy boy protects his dearest item. I believe this card will be given to one of nephews (love them all!)
I also added a die cut heart border, using a die from Memory Box. I also used dies from Dienamics to make the scallop border and tag, the stamped sentiment states "you're number 1". String and ribbon from my stash, DPs from Pebbles and Doodlebug. And the embossed heart was from a pack of pre-cut hearts given to me by my aunt - I'm very lucky to have family members that don't craft themselves but are always on the lookout for items for me. I make a lot of cards for them and I don't think they've bought cards for several years now:)

The embossed heart is gorgous, and you have well damped it with the more modern tag and the string! Your card is very sweet, but not too mawkish for a little boy, great work !!

Pia, I just love this sweet card! You've chosen such a touching image and added great embellishments with that heart border, the embossed heart from your aunt and the pretty design papers and bottom border! It all comes together for a fabulous design!

That is the perfect image and will be wonderful for your baby nephew. That is so nice the your family can count on you for their cards nine does the same thing. The blue is so pretty, love the die and the background paper.

Pia, you have those silver hearts tucked up above this most adorable image, yep, it fits for a Valentine in my book. Also love the theme of the child & teddy, and it all looks great with the pretty blue plaid and other touches of blue, and the embossed white heart panel. Like the way you've tied in the silver touches as well. Pretty, pretty! TFS
