Two weeks ago I went to a craft fair and bought a Christmas stamp and die set from Hero Arts. I made three cards in blues and silver (post here) and I said I wanted to try the stamps with pink too.
When I saw the color challenge over at ColorQ it seemed to be the perfect time to do so, and also Nonni's choice of theme for Inkspirational, using 5 stamps or more. I believe I used 9 different ones (2 snowflakes, 3 different tree stamps, the snowman and the sentiment, one with script from the same set and also one from another brand). I used just one pink inkpad - DI picked raspberry, but I achieved the two toned effect by stamping two times before reapplying ink.
Those of you who visit me regularly know I'm no one layer card maker, but I made one, completely voluntarily too! I only added 3 bling because I thought my card lacked some sparkle.
This card is for:
ColourQ - #362 Color Inspiration
Inkspirational - #119 Use 5 Stamps
Addicted to Stamps and More - #215 CAS
Beautiful Christmas card Pia, I never thought using pink would look so effective, the way you used the stamp adds dimension to the trees great one layer card.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Christmas card Pia, the trees look lovely in pink with that jolly snowman
ReplyDeleteI'm going to make the effort to do one layer cards this Christmas too, the postage gets so expensive otherwise.

ReplyDeleteFab buy on this so versatile set of images. Love the non-traditional & unexpected pop of the shades of pink trees with the dark stamping on the snowman. Adding in the falling snowflakes with some bling...just a beautiful design. Like the subtle look of the overstamping too. TFS & Have a great week. Hugs
ReplyDeleteHi Pia, great idea stamping two toned effect with DI pink!!! It gives a very beautiful depth to your CAS! And the contrast with the black and white snowman is just perfect to be a catch-eyes! A bit of sparkle make your card more festive. Great work!
ReplyDeleteI'm very busy with my work, and I'm thinking that CAS cards would be the only way for crafting in these times... If I was be able, of course! :) LOL
