Lady in Venice

As some of you might know I used to participate in the Twofers' challenges. The team is back but with a new blog called "Always Use Rubber". Their third challenge is DESTINATIONS and my beloved lady in Venice stamp got to see ink yet again.

There where a few mishaps here, which, hopefully, you might think was part of the plan from the start:) I had started to color in the image, giving the lady a grey dress and hat. As I wanted to move some of my smaller Distress inks to another part of m desk to get more room I lost the red one over the image and there were lots of red ink in the bottom right corner. So I added more, with a little pink mixed in and water...

I used a panel of patterned paper, had intended to make it cover the whole front, cut it wrong, so went with a sketch inspiration instead (you can see the sketch here, but I can't enter my card in the challenge as it isn't CAS).

I stamped the white card base with some stamps from Panduro and silver ink. I also added some onto the image. A pink rose was attached to the hat, three pearls, machine stitching and voilĂ .

  6. All your mishaps make your card very interesing and different! There are always these "no-days" (I don't know what are the english words for the days when nothing go well and all the things done are full of mistakes and accidents). But however you have saved the card with a few of lovely details, it looks so pretty! Love very much the 3D rose on the hat and the three pearls, they are very stylish

  11. In LOVE with this! And can't imagine her grey... what a happy accident! And on another note: so, this is not CAS... but it kind of is to me... I know what CAS stands for, but your project here would be as CAS as I get! It's relative :)
