Die cut rose and musical notes background

I debated with myself for a long time whether I should go for a kraft card base or a white one. I'm still not sure. I might make a similar design with a white base too, that will end m internal discussion.
The muscial noted background is made with a Prima stamp, the sentiment is Penny Black. The rose is made with gold paper and Marianne die. I manually cut the frame or window and made a slightly broader one to get the inner frae of kraft. The panel is mounted on foam.

This card is for:
Less Is More - #364 Music
Inkspirational - #154 Aperture Card
CAS on Friday - #126 Dies

  1. Pia, this is gorgeous. Love the rose in gold. I think you could go either way on the card base. I really like this it is elegant.

  2. I love this design. The rose is placed perfectly over the patterned paper. I would do this with white also because the design is perfect and the white would really make it so CAS, and the gold really dominate, not that I don’t love it with the Kraft. So good to see you at Time Out

  8. I think both colours are good for the base but I do think this kraft one looks less predictable and I can think of lots of different occasions it could be used for. I think the same design on white would look more wedding-y.

  14. This beautiful rose looks like a PBlack rose die that I have. I think your color choices are excellent. The rose is uber elegant over the musical score, and the kraft & white make a beautiful color combination. The kraft seems to echo the gold on your rose. Love the way you've done the sentiment. 15. I think the kraft and white is really classy for this rose and music design. The way you've created the double frame looks great too.

  22. I have those same types of inner discussions, Pia. It will be fun to see the white background, too, but I do love the Kraft cardstock with it! It’s both lovely and earthy, elegant and rustic. Hard to accomplish that! It’s a wonderful card! Hugs, de
