Stars, Sentiment in focus and Chistmas

Today I have two cards to share for the Twofer Card challenge #13 - for both cards I used a star stencil from Memory Box.

1) Birthday
My first card was inspired by the theme over at LIM, one layer with focus on the sentiment.
I used a woodmounted stamp from Penny Black, I placed it in the centre of the card base and stenciled stars in soft colors on the backgrond. For an extra 'omph' I sprinkled a gold and white frantage mix.

    2) Christmas
For my second cad I stenciled stars all ove the backgrond, bshed on a little bit of ble ink and sed a gold heat embossed globe die cut from Tim Holtz. The Santa and sleigh is ade with a Marianne die, the sentiment was a freebie, I heat eboossed with gold onto vellum.

    5. I love the gold, black and white elements of both your elegant cards, Pia! That quote is marvelous on your first card (for a birthday?) and I love the gold and white frantage mix you added! Your Christmas card is so dimensional with Santa's sleigh flying across the world and the vellum sediment works so well as an overlay! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #13! Hugs, Darnell

    6. I love your gold stenciled stars with the birthday sentiment as the focus. Wonderful CAS design and a fabulous one layer card Pia! Your star stenciling on the second card with the gold embossed earth is so beautiful. I love your design with the silhouette of Santa and his reindeer flying through the sky. The vellum banner is just perfect and adds a soft look. Two beautiful designs using your stencil. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge!

    11. Oh Pia, you have rocked this challenge-that Xmas card is the ultimate CAS beauty with the touch of texture-a delight! And then a totally different card using that fab globe die-love the use of vellum here (I have one of these in my stash and have been musing of ways to use it for your INK designer choice...you have helped me here..need some more ideas though as such a big die I find it hard to use, even though I love it!)
