Stripes and Christmas flowers

The number of Christmas cards I need increases from year to year, and I try to avoid having to making lots last minute. I’m no good at creating under pressure. So here’s another one done and ready.

The Art of Stripes: Over 30 ways to wear stripes: Amazon.co.uk: Hardie Grant, Libby VanderPloeg: 9781784881511: Books I was inspired by the book title for the stripes, and also the colors of the cover, although my DP is a much deeper red that the woman’s trousers. The poinsettias are a traditional Christmas element, but I feel that the look of the design is more modern than traditional? I cut the flowers from fun foam and added a few pearls and sequins.

This card is for:
The Library Challenge - The Art of Stripes
Happy Little Stampers Christmas - June - Anything Goes + Non-traditional
Christmas Crafts All Year Round - Garland, leaves or Christmas flowers

  6. I can't say if this card is more modern or traditional, but certainly it's gorgeous and (I don't know why) it remember me a solid family and a strong woman that keep all together. ...Fool, isn't it? :D
Love the deeper red frames with the stitched and scalloped borders, those white poinsettias and the striped background!
