Ink #196 - Paper Piercing

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational - paper piercing. I chose to pierce the paper by stitching around the edges.

The sweet angels image was sent to me my teamie Nonni and they are my favorite angels. I wish I had this stamp myself, but it seems to be a retired one. I colored with Promarkers and a white gel pen. The wings and stars have glitter glue on them. The background has a thin coat of watered gesso, and I used a stencil for the stars and a script stamp. And, again, I used my favorite chipboard sentiments.

    They are beautiful Pie delicate and ethereal the background adds to this effect can understand why you wish you bad this stamp

    So beautiful Pia..love your sweet Angels too and love the stitch lines, although I read it as Paper piecing and couldn't see any..lol..I got it now though..

    Fabulous card, these angel are really beautiful, perhaps you could search on eBay to see if could find a pre-loved one. Brilliant design with the gesso on kraft, it gives a particular look to the background! Love your stitching!!!

    Beautiful! Love the sewing and the stars and the colouring. I also love that image and after using Nonni's, searched for it on Ebay etc but no joy.

    These are my favourite angels too, Pia ... and you've showcased them beautifully here! There's a lovely warmth in the colour palette that contrasts wonderfully with the crisp pops of white in the starry background ... gorgeous! Anita :)
