Ink #197 Photo - leaf

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational and it's a photo. Please head over to the challenge blog to see inspiration from my teamies.

I was inspired  by how the mountains are reflecting in the lake. So I went ahead and tried the reflection stamping technique for the first time. I staped the image on acetate before pressing it onto the paper using the acetate as a stamp.
I had added masking tape before inking and stenciling the stars and was quite pleased with it, but as I was removing the tape a SMUDGE appeared. How come this only happens when I'm attempting to go one layer??? I had to rethink my design, I cut the panel and placed it onto a plaid DP. It didn't quite turn out as planned, but I tried to save what could be saved,..

  5. Well done on the reflection Pia - a lovely job!
Smudges. I hate them - how come they never appear when you're intending to mount them onto a base card - only on 1 layer ones! Anyway it looks great on the plaid background so smudge was not a disaster!

  10. Oh don't worry about it -the recipient doesn't need to know it was supposed to be one layer and we certainly won't tell! Your mirror stamping turned out very well and I love the frog stamp, he is super cute. The plaid paper works too! xxx

  11. Pia, this looks beautiful itself. I can't see what went wrong over here. Maybe you managed to hide it very well. The mirror stamping has come out so well.

  16. Love it Pia, don't worry I just did s one layer card upside down so have to cut back ie front upside down off so can mount it. I actually love the use of tartan though.
Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too.

  17. I like this adorable frog image with the little fellow wearing his crown! Your card design suits him so well.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Those 72 cards did not take all that long really. I did not use many images that needed colouring. Mostly just die cuts, decorative brads, preprinted images and 3D images. IT was also a great way to use up supplies that were years old.

The three pack cards were given away as door prizes at the event. The people attending were women from a very low income area in our town. Apparently they loved the cards and were able to pick which three pack they wanted.
