Ink #198 Mask

A new challenge went live at Inkspirational yesterday and for the next two weeks the challenge theme is MASK.

I used the Bo Bunny Feeling Festive stamp set. I've always been fascinated by the Matryoshka dolls and their painted faces. I stamped the row of nesting dolls using the masking techniqe before adding the tree from the same set and a Hero Arts sentiment. Next I stamped a few extra dolls, fussy cut and colored the with Promarkers before glueing them onto the row of black and white ones. I added frantage and placed the panel onto a DP with green leaves.

    the coloured dolls look wonderful against the background and the black and white ones, the frantage adding texture and some bling, a beautiful card Pia

    This is a super design! Great idea to stamp the row of Matushkas in black and white and then color some of them in addition to the black and white ones! Very fun look for an unique Christmas card. Is frantage the white splatter? LOVE it!! Everything in this card just makes me smile, goes together so well and is so well though and put together! xxx

    Gorgeous card Pia and see a spotlight effect going on too..love the cute dolls and colours..I'm not good at masking, my brain can still see the image and gets scared to go over it with my pens..lol..

    Such stunning design, Pia! Fabulous festive card, love the Matroska dolls row with only the three coloured on the front! The tree looks great behind them as well the DP and the scallop frame!
