Fairy Mother and Baby

Our new challenge over at Outlawz Twisted Thursday is Anything Goes with the optional theme of "Spread Your Wings and Fly". Our August sponsor is Marker Pop.

For this card I've used a darling image from ADFD. I colored it with my Promakers and added glitter glue to the fairy mother and baby's wings.
The frame is made with a die from Marianne. I cut it out of kraft paper and added a coat of white gesso and then distressed lightly with ink. The butterfly border is made using a Tim Holtz die, the sentiment is Memory Box. I used 3 different DPs but I don't remember where they're from, I've had them for a very long time. The lace I bought on one of my travels, flowers from my stash.

I also want to remind you of my candy - I'll give away 2 issues of "Cardmaking and Papercraft"and the freebies that came with these magazines. You can check out the details HERE.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Digi Sketch Challenge - Sketch and/or Fairies (T)
2) Crafty Little Fairies - Cute and Cuddly
3) The Stamping Boutique - #28 Use Lace
4) Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - #71 Fairies
5) Eureka Stamps - Things with Wings

  20. This is beautiful! I love the frame and how you gessoed and then aged it. Also really love the pop of reds.
Those butterflies look fabulous on the base...I have that die and have never used it as I always forget to leave enough room to add it jutting out off a card base. This way is so much better!

It grounds your image and design and just looks fabulous!

Thanks for the kind comments on the Thank you die card. Hope you have fun playing with yours. I am going to make a second card today and try the cream card behind the die. I think I will like it better.
I am back up at the lake and it is the Auquafit instructors Potluck luncheon this week. Those 3 ladies volunteer to teach us for an hour every morning Monday to Friday. They do not get any payment or stipend. They show up in the rain and in the extreme heat.

I am making 3 of the Thank you die cards for the 3 of them!
