Do what makes you happy...

Oldies But Goodies!.... for some that means cooking, for others it means eating (that's me), and Chef Pierre - test is a great choice for both groups.
Chef Pierre comes in many different versions, you can find them all in the Bugaboo store.

This image required very little coloring, just a bit of color added to the veggies, his skin, his scarf and the saucepan and that's about it. The sentiment is from a set from Marianne. I used a scrap piece of a paper which makes me think of a table napkin, added to a die cut border using a die from Dienamic, mounted with foam. A spotted DP and 3 black enamel dots and voilĂ .

This post is scheduled, but things will get back to normal in a few days and I'm probably looking forward to that now:)

Tag with Santa

Happy Monday everyone! This post is scheduled, so I have no idea about the weather, but I hope it's rather enjoyable wherever you are!

I made this tag with AKV Santa - snow for my Anything But a Card Monday post over at Catch the Bug.

I don't make many tags, and each year I tell myself that THIS year everyone is going to get own made gift tags on their Christmas pressies. Well, perhaps it's going to be a reality this year...
I used lots of bits and pieces and leftovers from other projects. I've got loads of scraps, which is another good reason for me to make those gift tags myself this year.
Take care!

Fireman

I was invited to be a Guest Designer for Sami Stamps and I got to choose one of the new release images to play with. My choice was this cute fireman.
I used orange cardstock and a DP with stars and some left over pieces for the stars and banners. I cut out an oval using a Dienamics stitched die. The sentiment is made using my Dymo.

I'm sorry I haven't been visiting many blogs this past week, I've been preparing for holiday.  I'll catch up again at the end of the month:)

Wishing you all a lovely summer.

To a cowboy...

There's a new challenge over at  Outlawz Twisted Thursday and this week's optional twist is to make a Father's Day card or a card inspired by nature. I went with the masculine option. I've used an image from Stitchy Bear Designs - our Sponsor for June.
I colored the image using my Promarkers. I rummaged through my huge pile of DPs and found two I found suitable for the cowboy theme. Then I cut out some stars from brown card stock, added a torn piece of corrugated cardboard and added a metal cowboy hat attached with string. The sentiment is made using my Dymo.

I'd like to enter these challenges as well:

Stripes!

I hope you all have had a lovely weekend.  I'm here to share my DT card for the new "Stella Says Sketch" challenge over at Catch the Bug.

I used an image called "Zebra". I made it in two different sizes, used a black Promarker to color the stripes, fussy cut them and mounted them onto a stitched die cut oval.
I stamped a greeeting saying "Today is your day" and used a striped paper and 3 pearls. A very simple black and white card.

This card is also for these challenges:
1) Seize The Birthday - Birthday + Topping Animal
2) Brown Sugar – #149 Anything Goes
3) Crafting with an Attitude - #4 Anything Goes
4) Moving along with the Times - Happy Birthday

Gus with Flashlight

Over at Catch the Bug we have a new challenge for you and this week it's ANYTHING GOES! Enter and you are in the chance of winning images from the Bugaboo store.

I used Gus Tidbits - Flashlight for my card. Gotta love Gus. Look at that face. And I love that sentiment - so true!

I used my Promarkes for coloring, glossy accent on his glasses and a black pen to make the doodled lines. Banners and rectangles are made using dies from Lawn Fawn, circle with sticthed lines from MB. Papers from Doodlebug Design.

Music

There's a new challenge over at  Outlawz Twisted Thursday and this week's optional twist is to make something music inspired. I've used an image from Stitchy Bear Designs - our Sponsor for June.

I colored the image using my Promarkers and I fussy cut it close to the lines. I took a red card stock, cut out a rectangle with a Lawn Fawn die, attached the image to it and added a music themed DP behind the cut out opening. A few musical notes were added, made with Dienamics dies. Apart from the coloring and cutting, a really quick and easy card:)

I'd like to enter these challenges:
1) Shopping Our Stash - #204 Red, Red Wine (use red as main color or wine as your theme)
2) Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
3) Artistic Inspirations - Anything Goes or Twist of Die Cuts

Fairy and Stars

Over at TIME OUT there's a CASE challenge - the smaller image shows Deepti's beautiful card.
I was inspired by the ripped paper, the vellum and black and white.
The stars are made with embossing paste and a Memory Box stencil. I used Spellbinders dies for the fairy and oval panel with sentiment, the small cut out stars are made fith a Lawn Fawn die. I used a corner rounder punch on two of the corners - that's not typically me, but I do like the effect, I think it softens up the design a bit.

I'd like to enter my card in these challenges:
1) TIME OUT Challenges - #32 CASE
2) Seize The Birthday - Birthday
3) Moving along with the Times - Texture
4) Simply Create Too - #86 Keep It Simple
