Pirate Monkey

It's Thursday and time for an OLDIE BUT GOODIE over at Catch the Bug and a new challenge over at Outlawz Twisted Thursday. This week the optional twist - or theme - is "ANIMAL(S)".

I colored the image using Promarkers, fussy cut it and mounted it onto a die cut tag decorated with ribbon ans string and die cut seashells. For the background I used a brown DP from Maja Design which I heat embossed with gold EP, using a map stamp from Prima. The swirls are stamped, heat embossed and cut out. The sentiment is cut out from a DP and says "to the coolest boy".

This card is also for these challenges:
Digi Choosday Challenge - #33 All About Men
Shopping Our Stash - #215 Layer It On Me
Tuesday Throwdown - #258 Texture
I love Promarkers - #283 Anything Goes

  1. Wow Pia, this fussy cut monkey it's very fun and your scene has a fabulous look with the black tag and the embossed map in gold!!
Also the embossed fussy cut swirls and the marine animals are a great details. The ribbon with the scrap on the top of the tag seem linen, however they are perfect for a pirate scene look!!
As always you are be able to give elegance and class even to the fun cards... a great talent!
    Hugs!

  23. This is one delightful pirate. Those embossed swirls trimming this card are so unique, and add so much detail to an already cute card. Love the way you've placed the twine added in the tiny shells. Mr. Pirate looks quite festive against that black tag with the skull & crossbones, too! Happy wkend, and TFS
