Teddy Love

Today I have two posts, my last ones for June, I'll be back in the beginning of July.

This is my DT card for "Loving Day" and the "Humor me Wednesday"-post over at Catch the Bug. The image is named Girl and Teddy Picture and is totally adorable.

I colored the image using Promarkers, fussy cut it and added stickles glitter on the frame.

I used some washi tapes and flowers from my stash, die cut a few golden hearts to make the leaves and a white one for the birthday greeting. I machine stitched around the edges.

Card Kit Swap with Nonni and Marina - take #1

I'm doing a "Card Kit Swap" with Nonni of Nonni's Handmade Cards and Marina of My Perfect Life. We're supposed to make 4 cards out of the kit and we can add some of our own stash too as we're keeping it really simple and fun.

Nonni sent us the first kit, it contained 4 sheets of patterned papers, 1 dry embossed one and 2 heat embossed ones. And there were stamped flowers and leaves, sequins and bling.
I sure had fun with Nonni's kit and here's what I made:

Card #1: A "just because" card
Everything on this card is from Nonni, a part from the embossed sentiment on vellum and the metal thread. I kept the colors limited, I only added Wink of Stella and colored a few details in with a golden gel pen. I used embossing powder similar to the color of the DP. The sentiment is in Norwegian, it's the definition of flower "FLOWER - a beautiful and unique gift from nature created for sharing".

Card #2: A birthday card
The die cut panel with sentiment and butterflies are my own, everything else comes from Nonni's kit. I so love the animal printed paper in blue!

Card #3: A "with sympathy" card
I loved this stamped paper and had a hard time cutting into it, afraid of ruining it, and I certainly didn't want to risk anything by inking. So I just cut it to make a panelled card, added a sympathy sentiment and a die cut rose.

Card #4: A card for a 50th birthday
I was a bit anxioussponging the embossed paper with red ink, but I didn't mess up. Added a strip of one of the patterned papers and made a square card. The flowers were colored with Promarkers and Wink of Stella. From my own stash I added some black lace, a die cut swirl and banners with DYMO sentiments.

I'd love to hear which card is YOUR favorite and why.

June sketch

Sunday and it's time for a new "Stella Says Sketch" challenge.
From May through August the sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug is running on a monthly basis, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the days of beautiful weather.

I made my card in different shades of peach and pink, using paper scraps and white ribbon and lace. The image, which you can find here, is colored using Promarkers and fussy cut. The die cut swirls are made with dies from Marianne and Magnolia, there's a bit of frantage added to the die cut gold circle. A bit of stitching and distressing the edges and that's about it.
