Go nuts

My post is scheduled to inform you about the new Saturday challenge over at Catch the Bug. This week it's a COLOR challenge - take a look:


I used to try and avoid color challenges, but they have grown on me. I have certain "go to" color schemes, but color challenges help me try other ones for variation. This autumn inspired one was really fun and I made a rather clean and simple card using a squirrel image from Bugaboo, a leftover piece of DP cut with a scalloped border die, and a fun felt embellishment from my blogfriend, Monika of Creative with Monika.     So fun and sweet card! Love the face of that squirrel, and the colour scheme matches well with that of the scallop border! The felt embellishment and the splatters give interest to the whole design!

    Simply a darling CAS, and I love the subtle shade of the scalloped top border. It really makes that wonderfully rich color of the felt acorn & leaf stand out beautifully. The image is cute as can be, and the sentiment is so fun! TFS
