I fussy cut the images and placed them onto a blue backgrond sprinkled with white mist. I arranged them into the opening of a negative die cut I made using a Memory Box die. I sponged or rather brshed, blue ink arond the edges of the snowflake. Added three glitter pearls and stamped a Christmas greeting.

Naked stamping - no coloring

We have just had a week of Christmas chaos over at Catch the Bug, and now we are back to or reglar Saturday challenge which runs for a week. The challenge is "naked stamping" - no coloring allowed but ou can use colored inks.
I printed off the the cute Snowflake snowan three times and made a selfie inspired card using my photo strip from Marianne.
There's little color on my card, red mirri card was used for the "merry", green card stock for the branches and one single red pearl was added to the silver glitter heart pendant.

And since it's Friday you can get the image I used for my card as this week's freebie in the Bugaboo shop.

Christmas Chaos - Colors

Over at Catch the Bug we're preparing for Christmas - it's Christmas Chaos week with lots of prizes to be won. For day 6 we have a color challenge:

I find color challenges to be quite tricky myself.  Most of the time I just choose colors and items along the way, but for color challenges I try and be extra organized. I select a non colored image, collect markers and papers with the right colors, someties also embossing powders and other mediums. Then I plan what colors to go where and I get started.

Christmas Chaos - A gift card holder

Over at Catch the Bug we're preparing for Christmas - it's Christmas Chaos week with lots of prizes to be won. For day 3 we want to see something other than a card -  you can create anthing that can be used for or as a gift.

I've made a gift card holder using a plain white strip of paper. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the card base, and the flip was die cut with a scalloped stitched border die. Then I used a strip of patterned paper to make the belt. I die cut my snowman and the scalloped circle, as well as the tags.

Christmas Chaos - Merry&Bright

Over at Catch the Bug we're preparing for Christmas - it's Christmas Chaos week with lots of prizes to be won. For day 1 we have a nice and simple challenge theme - "merry and bright".

I used the image Candy Cane Penguin, colored it with Promarkers and added glossy accent to the candy. I cut ot an opening on the DP and panel and added a doily and die cut trees in the background. The sentiment is old, it was something that came free with a magazine at some point, I tucked some die ct sprigs underneath it.

Frosty the Snowman

Today starts a new challenge over at Catch the Bug. It's a color challenge, I usually find those to be a bit tricky, but seeing the photo I knew I had the perfect DP for it. I love the knitted pattern.

My snowan has been colored with Promarkers, I added it to a blue panel I misted with white.
I die cut a few sprigs and the merry sentiment from a perfume box wrapping, it's dark green and velvety. I added a bit of glitter and a few white berries, and I finished off the sentiment with my Dymo.

Birthday card with Stella and balloons

Over at Catch the Bug we have a new sketch challenge for you.

Even though the time for sending out Christmas cards is "just arond the corner" I made a non-seasonal card - playing with a fun Stella image for a birthday. With it comes a really fun sentiment related to Facebook and birthday wishes, but as I believe the receiver is not on Facebook, she might not even know what that is, so I chose not to use it.
I cut the image with a doily die, brand unknown, and the scalloped border was made with a MFT die. The papers are scraps from my stash, I added pearls and stamped the birthday sentiment in Norwegian with white ink.

The image is named Meowy Christmas and I colored it using Promarkers, fussy cut it and mounted it on foam.
I stamped the panel with a plaid stamp from Tim H and a sentiment. I used leftover strips of paper to make the borders of silver and red along with a piece of tassel ribbon. Finally I added som sequins and red sparkly buttons for extra color.

Today we have a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug. As Christmas is approaching, and far too quickly too, I decided to go for Santa, colored with Promarkers. Inspired by a photo

Today starts a new challenge over at Catch the Bug and this week we have a photo for you to pick inspiration from.

I was inspired by the the cottage and used wooden texture as well as green and yellow colors.
The wooden paper was sent to me by Monika. The image is Sunflower Vase from the Bugaboo store, colored with Promarkers, and I added die cut leaves, lace and string. The birthday greeting was heat embossed in gold onto vellum.

Girl with kitty

Tuesday is new release day over at  Bugaboo and this is one of Jodie's latest images.
The colors aren't as pale in real life as the appear here, but this time of year I struggle getting good photos unless it's a beautiful and sunny autumn day. I could probably do with a new camera too.
Back to my card - I went for a layered design with ripped corrugated card board, a leftover piece of patterned paper and two different ribbons. I added birthday sentiments on the banners.

Catch the Bug - Sketch #517

Today we have a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug and I have used one of the Chef Pierre images, colored with Promarkers, to make a masculine card.

I just recently found m clock die from Marianne, it's been missing for a year or so, so I wanted to use it again. And I used two strips of washi tape and a fun birthday greeting in Norwegian.

CAS One Layer Card

Mojo has been lacking since refrbishment and holiday, so today I decided to clean up my craft room to see if that wold help. It actually didd, I was able to make a couple of cards.
This is a clean and simple one layer card made with stamps from 3 different sets. I felt it was a bit dark with the black and kraft paper only, but it helped with a few touches with my white gel pen. And for once I made a one layer card which didn't require several attempts - yay!

If the broom fits

I meant to put this up on my blog for Thursday at the same time as it went live on Catch the Bug, but time just flew by so quickly this week, and suddenly Saturday is here.
Better late than never I suppose, so here's my card with a fun Stella image and a DP with bats, which I rememberd being in my stash seeing the DD mood board.

A really simple card, I just colored the image, cut it out and mounted it on foam.  I gave her a red cape, but I actually now believe it's her broom. Oh, well.
Have a great weekend!

    Birthday balloons

Hi! Not too many posts from me lately, since my break it feels like a card takes ages to make.
Today we have a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug and as soon as I saw it I was thinking of balloons, so on they went along with an image colored ages ago, called Cat Rat Birthday.
I don't typically use much green on my non-Christmas cards, but here there's a lot.

    Wizardry

I've made a birthday card using Halloween inspired colors (see photo) and merging two images from the Bugaboo store:  Magical Tidbits Bookshelf and Wizardry Wizard 06.

I made the backgrond keeping the paper in the die while sponging. When that was done I used a stencil anda brush to add some more color to allow the pattern so be subtle and still visible.
I added a birthday greeting and sequin stars.

      Shaker gift card box

Monday is 'Anything but a card' day over at Catch the Bug.
I like to make card box holders, they are useful for gifts, and this time I used Mouse Hearts.
I die cut a frame, added acetate and red and silver stars. The banners are also die cut as well as the snowflake added to the circle.
For a bit of shimmer I used WoS on the hearts as well as red mirri card for the panels.

        I'm back - with a Christmas card

Hi there! It's been roughly a month since I last posted anything and I've been pretty much absent in blogland. I'm allright, nothing serious but just had a bit too much on my plate to be able to make anything, post or visit. But now I'm ready.

Today we have a new sketch challenge over at Catch the Bug and I used Chibi snowman for my card (it will be added to the store soon).

        Penguins and polar bear

I'm continuing to make Christmas cards, I prefer to have them ready and made well in advance. For this card I was inspired by the bottom right card over at Muse Christmas Visions, using penguins and the placement og the circle shape on the background.

The penguins and polar bear came free with a magazine. The snowflake wreath is a Magnolia stamp. My favorite embellies, sequins, here in the shape of snowflakes, add a bit of shine, which is what I love about sequins. The sentiment is Hero Arts. I made the background with blue and black DI. The snowhills are made with Poppy dies.

        Rose in vase

As from today Catch the Bug is back to normal schedule with daily posts. Today starts a new challenge and it's bingo time.
I played with a rose in vase image, printed it quite large, almost the length of an A2 size card. I colored it with promarkers and added gloss to the vase. The paper is from a Christmas collection. Added string and a birthday sentiment.

        CASE Christmas card

I love my new stamp set from Inkadinkado and here's another version with the bauble bird. The hollies and sentiment are from the same set, the two other baubles and little bows are from Lawn Fawn. The green textured glitter tape was a gift from Mimi - thank you! Another Christmas card done.
I used a holly Tim Holtz stencil, started off by adding white ink, then layered on some green. White liquid enamel dots.
The stamps used are new to me, they're from a set from Inkadinkado. Cut the panel with a wonky stitched die from MFT.
Finished the card off by adding as gingham ribbon bow.

Happy Friday! I'm here to show you my card featuring this week's Freebie Friday -  you can pick it up for free in the Bugaboo store.

I used my Promarkers to color the image and cut an oval frame of kraft and a fence. A flower and some leaf. The background is made of one DP, but to mix thepatterns even more I cut  into squares and placed them at random. One I had done that I cut the panel with my wonk stitched border die.

        Crazy birds and Distress Oxides

My crazy birds deserved to get aired again, so out they came, or at least three of them. I stamped them a bit random and over the edge on a 'mop up' background made with DOx. I just colored in a few details of the birds with a peachy brownish marker to keep in sync with the earthly peach like colors of the base. I used a white gel pen to color their eyes. The sentiment came free with a magazine. I used my wonky stitched die from MFT to cut the panel.
