Elephant and pumpkins

It's Thursday and time for an OLDIE BUT GOODIE over at Catch the Bug and a new challenge over at Outlawz Twisted Thursday. This week the optional twist - or theme - is "AUTUMN".









The image is called Edward - fall pumpkins and is colored with Promarkers.

The background is embossed, I used gold paper, then I added a panel of a DP that came free with a magazine ages ago.
For a bit of texture I added cheesecloth, and I die cut lots of leaves in different autumnal colors using dies from Lawn Fawn. The tree branch and birds are made with Memory Box dies.
I machine stitched around the edges using gold metallic thread.

    Lovely Fall card, Pia! The cheesecloth is a fun addition... I forget that I have a supply of this. Edward is printed and ready to color on my desk. Such a fun image for Fall!

    Edward is really so cute, but the difference has made by your design, it's so classy, Pia!! Love how you matched the branch with leaves with the gold embossed background and the texture you added look very well! The stitch is a very lovely touch!

    I'm actually headed to the pumpkin patch this weekend and I'll be keeping my eyes open for precious elephants to accompany them! Edward is just huggable!!!

    Great use of metallics on this card. The image is fun and beautifully coloured. I just love colouring pumpkins, don't you? Although I must say, until I started cardmaking /blogging , I don't think I'd even seen a pumpkin on a card. Must be the American influence. I love the varied colours of your leaves.

    Hi Pia, Hope your vacation was great, and nice to have you back home again. This is one darling image, love this cute Elly with all the fall punkins. Great background with the gold embossed paper and the orange border. Adding in the gauzy fabric created a nice texture as did the die cut leaves in the different colors. Lovely stitching around the edges. Really an adorable fall card. TFS & Hugs

    Pia, Love the sewing, that Edward puts a smile on my face he is so cute. Love the fall leaves, the embossing folder and the cheesecloth looks great. If you could check I sent an email to bugaboo to find out if they wanted to sponsor us for next year and I have not heard back from them and it has been awhile is their a way you can check?
