I loved her colorful card to CASE, I was inspired by the layout and went for a Christmas theme, using a poinsettia die from Memory Box. I cut it out using silver mirri card. The white base was embossed, then cut into panles and stitched in place using silver metallic thread. I heat embossed a sentiment in silver and added white pearls. Trying to keep my Christmas cards flat and non heavy (therefor no frills) to keep postage costs down.
This card is for:
Happy Little Stampers - March CASE
ABC Christmas Challenge - Frills or no frills (no frills)
Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge - #68 Use your stash (pearls)
Rudolph Days Challenge - March
I think I can glimpse you in the mirror card! This is such a lovely , elegant design - great idea to die cut from mirror card - I think I need to steal this idea. I love the (snowfall?) embossing, on the panels. This card is quite unusual and yet still Christmassy.

ReplyDeleteThis is a stunning card Pia! Fabulous design and colours and the stitching are superb :-)
ReplyDeleteYou've got some splendid CAS & color inspiration from Kim. SHe's always stunning with her cards. I love the corner die & how you've used it. (have the die but NBUS). It must have been a bit tricky to inlay the petals back into the framework with the mirror paper. Love the silver thread stitching in the design layout...that is inspiration for sure. The entire card is just superb and I think this might be one of your best ever!!! TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeletePia...this is one amazing card and I am so flattered that you took the time to case me. What an incredible honor! I love your take too with those pretty flowers for Christmas! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Happy Little Stampers.
ReplyDeleteI can tell all the time you put into this (you might have made it quickly-- would've taken most crafters hours, or in my case, days!) This is great bear's it has a modern feel resulting from the colors, but the stitching softens it. Beautiful CASE.
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card!! Love the elegant look. Thank you for sharing with us at the Rudolph days challenge.
