This will be my last card as an Outlawz DT, I've decided to step down but have really enjoyed the experience since my first post on August 22 in 2013.
This week the challenge theme is ANYTHING GOES and the sponsor for March is Bugaboo.
I've used a fun birthday image with pigs for my card, colored with Promarkers, decorated with glitter and glossy accent on the eyes.
The paper was an unsuccesful attempt at splooshing, using gelatos in different shades of pink. So i Covered the background using a stamp and gold EP. The frame is die cut with a Dienamics die.
This card is also for:
Addicted to Stamps and More - #187 Make Your Mark
Make My Monday - Circles
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Hi Pia a fun card by all accounts with lots going on and although you think the 'splooshing' didn't work it is perfect for cheeky messy pigs and looks great on this fun card. Zx
ReplyDeleteAwwww this is really sweet Pia… those pigs are adorable and make me smile!!! Love the pink and gold background… gives the card a lovely glitzy, glamorous feel !!

Congrats for your three years as DT at Outlawz, I'm sure that they will miss your classy inspirations! I image that to be a DT is a fun thing, but also fatiguing... and in some busy moments can be a bit stressful, if a person has a binding job.
ReplyDeleteThese pigs are very fun and their eyes look great with the glossy accent. Love the glittered balloons and the background is a clever recycling. The gold embossing makes it precious and gives a beautiful texture that remember me the mixed media works!
The pink is a perfect pig's pink :D I don't know if in english this name exists, but in a popular italian it is just this tone of pink. :)
Such a cute card with some fun sparkle! You always do such an amazing job on your cards! We will miss you on TT at The Outlawz, Pia, but we hope you'll stop in often! May the Lord bless you and keep you; May the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. --Numbers 6:24-26

I can see a pink tinge on the base - it looks great stamped over with the gold spots. Gelatos was one of the (many) crazes I bought into, but I've never achieved any effects with them that was different to the watercolouring stuff I already had! Love the glitter on this happy card.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us at Make My Monday. Marina DT

ReplyDeleteDon't you just love how glitter and EP can hide "failed" experiments, Pia? I use them both all the time to cover up my boo-boos. LOL Your little piggy card is adorable, and I love the golden "bokeh" technique around the layers! thanks for sharing how you made this card! hugs, de
