Christmas + Play

This piece of blue green DP has been sitting on my desk for awhile. Finally it was put to use. I cut out the middle section to use both sides of the paper, having musical notes in the centre and snowy edges. I teamed it up with a vintage image of angels playing.

I found it to turn out a bit too dark in color, so I went with a white paper and a corner poinsettia die. WoS added to the leaves.
Then a die cut merry from Tim Holtz and a stamped and gold embossed Christmas. A few sequins for sparkle.

This card is for:

  2. i haven't made any vintage style cards for ages, this beauty has inspired me to look through my images and have a go. The poinsettia die lifts and softens the darker papers.

  3. Really we are so different, Pia! You pick great inspirations from design paper, I don't know how you do :D Instead I take inspirations from little pieces, especially diecuts... I'm diecut addict.
Love how you added the white poinsettias and the banner to brighting your card, it has a special sweet feel, despite the dark tones of the dp and the (oh, so lovely) vintage image. A very classy card as always!!
