Christmas in July - Baby it's cold outside...

It’s time for my favorite event of the year, Christmas in July over at Catch the Bug. A week of daily challenges, and day 1 is a really easy one,  Baby it’s cold outside.

I used a snowman for my card. I sponged blue DI on the background, added drops of water for snow effect and also white frantage. I cut the panel with a MFT stitched frame die.
A subtle detail, which is almost invisible in the photo, is that I masked off the snowman and stamped a few trees with white ink and heat embossed with frosted embossing powder. Quite nice in real life.
The sentiment is a combo of dymo and a Tim Holtz die cut.

    when you enlarge the photo you can see the trees shimmering in the background, love the detail on the sky and of course the fun snowman

    Lovely snowman and background. I enlarged the photo and I have seen the three trees :), they looks great! Love the combo of dymo and diecut sentiments, thanks for the inspiration!

    Such a magical, colorful, beautiful background, Pia, for your darling snowman. Do you make many snowmen in your area? We only get a touch of snow every decade or so, but we enjoyed making them in New England when living there. Your skyline reminds me of standing at my doors as a child, and watching the snowflakes come down in the wintry night. Beautifully done! hugs, de
