Inkspirational #187 Gold dipped

We have a new challenge at Inkspirational and this time Marlena has chosen the theme of "Gold dipped". An interesting theme, right?

I actually thought this was going to be easy-peasy, I love gold, but then I started to complicate things with the "dipped" part.
As  you can see I "dipped" my reindeer in gold embossing powder. The stars are stencilled with gold glitter paste, I partly dry embossed the background and stapled on some sequins.

In my head I visualized a wintery look - ombré style - going from white to more and more gold. It didn't really turrn out like I hoped it would, and no time to do a remake right now but when I get some more time on my hands I might have another go...
My teamies did a great job -please head over to the challenge blog to have a look.

  7. We are the most critics of ourself, isn't it? Sometimes we have a clear image in our heads but sometimes it doesn't come out exactly as that... but this isn't a bad thing... This card is very elegant and the ombré gold looks great. Love the embossing under the stag and the sparling stars. The touch of the stapled sequins finished the card perfectly (and I don't know how you do to staple sequins...! I have never tried this)
