Black, gold and green for a card for a woman

I used to shy away from color challenges, but now I feel they are a good aid for using my neglected rubber stamps. This is such a stamp, from Prima. I also used a much used butterfly stamp from a Bo Bunny set and a sentiment stamp from Poppy.
I used mostly black and gold with touches of green on the leaves. I machine stitched around the edges with a golden thread and heat set the sentiment using gold EP. I also used a gold gel pen to color in  a few details.

This card is for:

  7. I have never tought that black and white might be so feminine. Instead your combination of stripes, oval, gold and green, got a very feminine look, a bit vintage too with that particular stamp! And surely your personal watermark- the machine stitching- adds another lovely touch! Well done!

  16. A stunning card Pia, love the black/white with the pops of greens and gold.
It's a fabulous image, love it. Sometimes we are so busy using new crafty things that we forget about all the golden oldies in the drawers, glad this got an inking.

  17. Very dramatic color combo and I love your use of your old stash, I also try to dig out my more older stamps and play with them every now and then. If I don't see m to like them I sell them in a fb group and buy new ones. ;) I just went through my old blog and there's many many stamps there that I don't own anymore -but when I look at the cards I know I would not use them anymore so that's fine! :)
