Reindeer in wreath

When I saw this sketch over at Sunday Stamps I flipped it and  I roughly knew what items I wanted to use:

I mounted an embossed woodgrain panel onto the kraft card base. Made a square with a Spellbinders die and some musical notes DP. The Hero Arts die cut wreath got punched greeneries decorated with little gold stars and red and gold pearls made with pearl pens. The deer is made with a die from Kort&Godt and I heat embossed with a mix of brown and bronze EP. When everything was put together I added white frantage and the sticker post mark.

This card is for:

    Angel with vellum wings

I made this card with two challenges in mind- Always use Rubber and Time Out.

The stamps I've used are an angel one from Kort&Godt, but since her wings weren't very visible I used other stamps (brand unknown) to make wings with vellum and white EP. I cut around the head the get the wings inserted and tucked behind her head. The sentiment on the tag is from a Hero Arts set and the background is a Tim Holtz one.

I was inspired by this photo:

I usually find photo challenges quite difficult as I can't seem to concentrate on just a couple of things. But with this card it was quite easy. First, pink paper, gessoed and stamped with the angel.  Dies chosen as they came to mind seeing the shape of the pink bench. Additional wings as above the bench. The white ribbon with roses, as in the photo, to add some more embellishment, along with the white seambinding ribbon and tag. And the pearl string.
Then I tried to mount the die cut panels onto a plain white card base. I thought it didn't work, looked bland. Then I tried an embossed snowflakes background. Too messy. Then, as seeing the pattern on the mirror in the photo I thought of my Tim Holtz stamp. I chose to keep the wooden like look by using kraft paper and heat embossing with white EP.
This was a fun card to make, I had flow and found everything I needed to use quite easily - which isn't always the case...

    So this card is for:

Always Use Rubber - #4 Things with wings

Card Kit Swap with Nonni and Marina - We're preparing for Christmas #3

I'm doing a "Card Kit Swap" with Nonni of Nonni's Handmade Cards and Marina of My Perfect Life. Each month one of us sends the other two identical kits and we make 4 cards each using mainly the same supplies, but we can add some of our own stash too as we're keeping it really simple, fun and stress-free.
I made the kit this time, it contained 2 patterned papers, 2 embossed panels (Tim Holtz EFs), a stamped snowman (North Star stamps), various small stamped and die cut images (Hero Arts), a die cut wreath (Hero Arts), reindeer (Kort&Godt) and children (Kaboks). None of us have included sentiments before, but I did add some die cut and DYMO made ones I love to use myself.

Here's a photo of the kit:

    Card #1: Snowman
The image and sentiment are from my kit. I colored the image using Promarkers. I masked it and sponged the background with blue DI. Then I added drops of water and dried them gently off to make the snow. A die cut lamp post was used as well.
This card is for: Sweet Stampers - #1 Christmas

    Card #2: Winter scene
I used the embossed panel, wreath and stamped images from my kit. From my own stash I added stamped snowflakes and sentiments as well as some silver string.
This card is for: Christmas at Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog - Anything Christmas Goes

     Card #3: Children
I used the the embossed panel and design paper from my kit, as well as the die cut children. A  snowflake (Marianne die) and a button onto which I attached a tag and sentiment and there's some of that silver string again. The DP is cut using a stitched frame die from Dienamics.
This card is for: Brown Sugar - #224 Anything Goes

    Card #4: Reindeer
The DP, reindeer and sentiment are all from the kit. I've held on to some pearl swirls for so long and decided now was the time to use one. I also added some stamped and die cut pine branches.
This card is for: Christmas Card Challenges - #48 Glitter
Posts with more than one card tend to be heavy and difficult to comment on, but I'd love to hear what card is our favorite and why. I promise - no hard feelings at all, I appreciate an honest feedback:)

    Candy troll

This is my project showing one of the new images you can find in the Bugaboo store later today - a cute little troll.

I'm behind on my gift tags so I decided to add one to my stash with this image. Each year I tell myself that next year I'm going to make my own tags. Maybe this will be the  year? We'll see, I do struggle making something with such limited space...

I colored the image using Promarkers and a silver gel pen, and the candies got a coat of glossy accent. I kept it all really simple, just adding a piece of ribbon, lace and string.

    This tag is also for:

    Lady in Venice

As some of you might know I used to participate in the Twofers' challenges. The team is back but with a new blog called "Always Use Rubber". Their third challenge is DESTINATIONS and my beloved lady in Venice stamp got to see ink yet again.

There where a few mishaps here, which, hopefully, you might think was part of the plan from the start:) I had started to color in the image, giving the lady a grey dress and hat. As I wanted to move some of my smaller Distress inks to another part of m desk to get more room I lost the red one over the image and there were lots of red ink in the bottom right corner. So I added more, with a little pink mixed in and water...

I used a panel of patterned paper, had intended to make it cover the whole front, cut it wrong, so went with a sketch inspiration instead (you can see the sketch here, but I can't enter my card in the challenge as it isn't CAS).

I stamped the white card base with some stamps from Panduro and silver ink. I also added some onto the image. A pink rose was attached to the hat, three pearls, machine stitching and voilà.

    Elf and baubles

This is my card showing one of the new images you can find in the Bugaboo store today - a cute little elf.

I colored the image with mainly green and purple Promarkers and a silver gel pen.
I stamped a few snowflakes in silver (they're not easy to spot on this photo), added glossy accent to the baubles, frantage and glitter for snow.
The papers used are green and purple, the same as the main colors used for the image.
Three snowflake sequins and pearls, a sentiment, and that was it.

    Stockings

This week's challenge over at Catch the Bug is ANYTHING GOES. And since Christmas is approaching - quickly - I took the opportunity to make a Christmas card.

This image was colored up with Promarkers and fussy cut. I attached it to a Hero Arts die cut wreath- - brown paper, white gesso and frantage was used. I used some left over papers to punch the pine branches and also added some old poinsettia stickers. I mounted it all to die cut Spellbinders frames and a snow embossed background.

I got back from holiday on Sunday, but Mr Mojo got delayed. I haven't caught up on all of your blogs yet, but I'll get it to it, I'm still around:)
