For our last challenge this year we have the word prompt of ICE at Inkspirational

So out came my cute mice from Lawn Fawn, paired up with buildings and trees from two other sets, all stamped onto pink DP, to make my skating scenes.
The trees were covered with Frosted Powder for an extra wintery look and some sparkle.

Please head over to the challenge blog to see the my INK-teamies have made.

This card is also for:

Purple foil world map

For this card I made my own background, using a stencil from Kaisercraft and foil with a laminator. The shine looks really nice IRL, but it's hard to photograph. I also splattered with metallic champagne colored watercolor paint to add some snow. A die cut Santa with his sleigh and reindeer, sentiment made with a Tim Holtz die and my DYMO.

This card is for:
Allsorts - #654 Wings and/or Tails (reindeer have tails)
Sparkles Forum Christmas - #131 Non-traditional Colours
Happy Little Stampers Stencils December - Anything Goes

Ink #254 - Photo Christmas

For our new challenge at Inkspirational we have a Christmas photo. I was inspired by the legs and the presents.
I used a new to me Stamping Bella stamp, love her long legs. I paper pieced her dress with a spotted green paper from Maja Design, The DP was a freebie with a magazine, layered onto panels of traditional red and green for Christmas.

Please head over to the challenge blog to see the my INK-teamies have made.

This card is also for:
Fab n Funky - #541 Christmas
Little Red Wagon - #630 Never Before Used Stuff (the image and the freebie DP)

Skates and 2 different color challenges

I usually find it tricky to follow a specific color scheme, but this time I've managed to make 2 cards for 2 different color challenges, as well as a sketch. I've used the same stamp for both cards, skates from Papirdesign.

Card 1) Greys, greens and red

For this card I placed the skates onto a large stamped and die cut snowflake from Concord&9th, heat embossed with Frosting Powder. I used my much used script stamp from KOrt&Godt with whtite ink onto the grey background. Black and silver/white washi tapes to decorate and my dymo and a stamp for the sentiment.

This card is for:
Sunday Stamps - #271 Color - Winter Wonder
Allsorts
- #653 Use a Die

Card 2) Greys, silver, pink and white

For this card I placed everything off centre and followed the sketch over at TSoT. The snowflakes are my favorite embellishment for my Christmas cards this year, I've used them a lot. Covered with glitter or Frosted Poder they add a little sparkle on my cards. I also love the mini slimline shape, it makes it so much easier to keep within the weight limits to keep postage costs down and allows a bit of layering too. I used a stamp from Studiolight with white ink on the silver background. The bow was made with white seambinding ribbon and a pink Distress oxide.

This card is for:
Color Throwdown - #671
Try Stamping On Tuesdays - #535 Technique and/or Sketch

November Card Chain Challenge reveal

This is the third time I participate in The Card Chain Challenge - anyone can enter as long as you are willing to snail mail a card to a fellow crafter. For the December challenge, you can sign up here until til 6th of December.

THE CARD I SENT

I sent my card to  Dawn in New Zealand. For my card I followed thetheme of snowflakes - there are 3 on my card. And I used my new and already much used Stamping Bella stamp. The background is made with white stencilled trees on kraft, and I chose pink for the panel and the girl's outfit you.

THE CARD I RECEIVED

I recieved this pretty card and some die cuts (thank you!) from Hilary in the UK.She chose several of the challenge prompts we could choose from - well done doing so many and the card is so elegant and perfect for the season. It's been put on the wallboard in my crafting room for admiration and inspiration:)
