This week we have an "Anything Goes" challenge for you at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday. By entering a card or project you'll be in the chance of winning prizes from this month's sponsors - My Besties by Sherri Baldy and Paper Temptress.
I've used a Bestie image for my card and a color combination of purple and yellow. Purple is one of my favorite colors, I think it goes so nicely with any other color. I used different DPs for this card, the one I used as background came free with a magazine, all others were leftover strips. I used MB dies to make the flowers and die cut leaves and a Spellbinder die to make the oval. I also used some green leaves and a flower from my stash. The birthday greeting is heat embossed, and I used a punch to make the butterflies, which I decorated with pearls.
This card is also for these challenges:
1) Word Play Saturday - Yellow
2) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Friends...
It's been some time since I last did a CAS card, so I thought I'd go with the option of sketch+CAS for House of Cards.
But what to make? Its' the season for Valentine's cards, so I was quite inspired by red and hearts, but I also wanted to make a card to give to a friend. So I chose a sentiment in Norweigna which translates something like "A friend is a gift so great that it can only be measured by the heart". I don't know if the sentence makes sense in English, but it does in my language:)
For the image I used a stamp from Lost Coast Designs. It's called "Waiting for Mr Right", but I cut out parts of the image and what was left was 3 girlfriends. Both the image and sentiment were stamped with black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I used 2 heart dies to make the frame of the image and the two smaller hearts are sequins.
This card is for these challenges:
1) House of Cards - # Sketch + CAS or Classic/Elegant
2) Everybody-Art-Challenge - #263 Heart
3) Creative Creations Challenge Blog - Less is More
4) Dream Valley Challenges - #74 No Designer Paper
5) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Festive Fairy
Coffee and Cards' sketch as inspiration for the layout and the Inkspiational photo as inspiration for my color choices.
This adorable grown up fairy lives over at Doctor Digi House of Stamps - Phyllis the Festive fairy can be found here.
I gave her a paper pieced dress with spots and vellum wings. The DPs are from a paper pad from My Mind's Eye.
As golden accents I used a yellow seam binding ribbon, 3 gold bling stones and gold thread for my stitching. For the oval I had to "cheat" and used a gold metallic pen instead. I also added some gold embossing powder on top of the stamped sentiment.
This card is for these challenges:
1) Inkspirational - #48 Photo inspiration
2) Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - #57 Sketch
3) Crafts 4 Eternity Recipe Challenge - #160 Tic Tac Toe (Blue+Paper Piecing+Stamping)
4) Sweet Stampin - In Stitches

Bugaboo Birthday Party - Funny Birthday Project
This my final card for the week long Bugaboo Birthday Party! I've had quite a hectic week, so I can tell you it was quite a challenge for me making all 7 cards, considering I'm the type of crafter that usually spend a ridiculous amount of time on each card! But I did manage to fill up my stack of birthday cards which was partly the reason why I wanted to participate.
For this card I had decided I wanted to use the star patterned paper, so I chose colors for my image based on this paper's color scheme. I had planned another layout, but found the red panel with stitching in my stash and decided to add a DP with lots of words. I mounted my image and star onto foam for dimension and used the sentiment that came with this Stella image found here. I added glossy accent to Stella's glasses and used 6 red pearls from my stash.
This card is for these challenges:
1) Catch The Bug - Funny Birthday Project
2) Crafter's Cafe - #47 Funny or Whimsical
3) Fab 'n' Funky - #200 Words
4) Paper Shelter Challenge - #144 Digi image + sentiment
5) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Bugaboo Birthday Party - May the fours be with you
The design was at first inspired by the Digi Sketch Challenge sketch, then I started to alter the layout, and the card ended up only fitting their masculine theme.
All DPs are from Maja Design's Christmas Collection - I just love these papers, so perfect for other occasions as well, it's all up to which side of the paper you want to use!
My idea here was to use a paper as background that would work as a wallpaper and a texture that would resemble a carpet.
Gus has been colored with Promarkers and his armchair is paper pieced. I added glossy accent to his glasses. You can find Gus here. The image comes with a fun sentiment, but I used one in Norwegian instead. My elements of "4" are card candies.
This card is for these challenges:
1) Catch The Bug -May the fours be with you
2) Totally Papercrafts #203 One for the Boys
3) Digi Sketch Challenge - Sketch and/or Theme "For Men"
4) Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Bugaboo Birthday Party - Just kidding around
I used my very neglected wave die from Memory Box and my often used cloud dies.
I stamped a birthday greeting on one of the clouds.
I wanted to use blue DPs to make the sky and sea, but felt my card was a bit colorless, so I used a yellow striped paper as frame. I machine stitched around the edges and decided to use no embellishments!
I would like to enter this card into these challenges:
1) Catch The Bug - Just kidding around - birthday project for kids!
2) Charisma Cardz - #2 It's a boy thing
3) Kaboodle Doodles - Use Blue
4) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

A Wintery Scene with a Bestie
It's Thursday (already!) and this is my second post today.
Over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday this week's optional twist is to add snowflakes. Our January sponsors are My Besties by Sherri Baldy and Paper Temptress, and all you need to do is enter a project to be included in the draw!
I colored my Bestie image using Promarkers. I used a DP from BoBonny witch spots and snowflakes. On top I added cheesecloth and a panel which I embossed using my Sizzix snowflakes embossing folder. The die cut snowflakes I made using a MB die, and I embellished it with sequins and pearls. The smaller snowflake is made with a punch. The sentiment is a winter greeting in Norwegian, I heat embossed it using gold embossing powder.
This card is for these challenges:
1) Digi Makeover Challenge - Snowflakes
2) Emergency Crafters - Cold – Must have blue or a snowflake
3) Crafting for all Seasons - #69 Girly
4) Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Bugaboo Birthday Party - Bling It Up
I so look forward to this week-end, I've barely had any time at home this week, not much time for crafting, blogging and relaxing! I hope to catch up with you during the rest of the week.
Yesterday after work I had a 3 hour course in providing first aid. I've always wanted to know more about that, it was very interesting and I think I learnt many useful things, hopefully I will never need to use it though.
My fourth card for the Bugaboo Birthday Party is far more gentle to the eye colorwise than my last two. I've used purple as my main color, it's one of my favorite colors to work with.
The DP is from Maja Design, I've used both sides of the same paper, one side for the stitched panels with butterflies and the other side for the die cut panel with birthday greeting. The image is from Bugaboo and can be found here.
This card is for these challenges:
1) Catch The Bug - Birthday Party Bling it Up
2) Created With Love Challenges - Winged Things
3) Through the Purple Haze - Pick Your Favorite Color (Purple)
4) Glitter n Sparkle - #68 Stitching
5) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Bugaboo Birthday Party - Color Challenge
This is my third card for the
Bugaboo Birthday Party. I used the same image as for yesterday's card, but this time I made the bird pink. I printed the phe photo on paper, and my printer showed a lime green color, but on my computer screen it looks more like lemon yellow. I hope the Bugaboo team will forgive me if I made the wrong choice, but at least it's a zesty kind of green:) The sentiment is from LOTV, I used black ink and clear embossing powder. The layout is inspired by this week's sketch over at Sketch Saturday.
This is for these challenges:
1) Catch The Bug Challenges - Birthday Color Challenge
2) Sketch Saturday - Sketch #293
3) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Bugaboo Birthday Party - Bingo Challenge
Bugaboo is celebrating their 4th birthday and they're having a whole week of daily challenges and a blog hop. They're really generous with their prizes, so I thought I would try and join every day with a card. That's quite a challenge for me as it means I'll need to speed up my crafting, no time to spend hours moving bits and bobs around before I make my decision - lol. It also allows me to increase my supply of birthday cards, which is quite useful at the moment, my drawer with birthday cards needs to be filled up again as I gave away a lot of cards for Christmas.
This card is for the bingo challenge, and I chose the row of Bugaboo image+no designer papers+bling.
The image is from Bugaboo and can be found here, the sentiment is from LOTV and I chose to heat emboss it with lavender embossing powder. I used an embossing folder for the light grey background paper.
I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
1) Catch The Bug Challenges - Bingo Birthday Theme/ hop
2) Graph'It Colour Challenge - #3 Anything Goes / Spring Lilacs
3) Aud Sentiments Challenge - #98 Any Sentiment
4) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Christmas Card with a Rosette
I just love playing with sketches
these days, and for this card I used the sketch over at Try Stamping On Tuesday as inspiration. I also used the optional twist of adding plaid.
I thought the theme over at Jingle Belles - use inches or Twinchies - would be great with this layout. I actually believe this Santa image, cut out from a Maja Design paper, is something in between. But if the aim is to use something small I think it fits the bill!
I attached the cut out image to a die cut circle of kraft and a rosette made with a Tim Holtz die. The plaid DP is from Maja Design, the others are not, but I can't remember any origins as I used scraps to make the panel of paper strips. For the sentiment I used a stamp from Panduro. I used brown embossing powder. I also added some brown pearls from my stash.
I machine stitched the strips of paper and around the plaid paper, as well as the panel I made for the inside of my card.
This card is for these challenges:
1) Try Stamping On Tuesday - Sketch #151 and Twist Add Plaid
2) Jingle Belles - Have Yourself a Merry LITTLE Christmas
3) ABC Christmas Challenge - Anything Christmas
4) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

It's Thursday and over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday this week's optional twist is paper piecing, my favorite technique! Our January sponsors are My Besties by Sherri Baldy and Paper Temptress,
and all you need to do is enter a project to be included in the draw!
I paper pieced the girl's dress with a paper that came fee with a magazine. I made her a winter lansdcape using tree dies from Marianne and reindeer dies from Memory Box. I also used dies to make the sentiment. I used a stamp from LOTV and placed it onto currugated paper. The chevron DP is heat embossed with white, I used a snowflake stamp from Fiskars that I receieved for Christmas.
This card is for these challenges:
1) Kaboodle Doodles - Winter Wonderland
2) Cuttin & Stampin Challenges - #14-2 Anything Goes With Winter
3) Everybody-Art-Challenge - #261 Snow

With Thanks
I've been a good girl and used only old supplies for this card. The wooden DP is from Authentique and the one with stripes is from a Maja Designs Christmas collection.
I've used Spellbinder dies for the oval. I cut out the oval twice for a framed look, I heat embossed the background with silver embossing powder, using a small sized stamp from Prima. The bird heat embossed in white is made with a stamp from a 7gypsies set. The sentiment came free with a magazine. The flower ribbon, lace and gems are from my stash, and I machine stitched around the edges.
This is for these challenges:
1) House of Cards - Sketch + Cute/Fun or Shabby/Vintage
2) Incy Wincy Designs - Add Texture
3) Make My Monday - Birds
4) Allsorts - #241 Use Ribbon no Bows
5) Fussy and Fancy - #105 Monochromatic

Ice Skates for Christmas Card #2
This is my second Christmas card of the year. I went with a monochromatic look of brown and beige color tones.
This is the first time I use the lovely ice skates die from Tim Holtz. The skates look really white in the photo, but I've used both Old Paper and Walnut DI on them. For the metallic look I used metal tape.
I used snowflake dies from Marianne to make the larger snowflakes and a punch to make the smaller ones. I added frantage to each of them. The oval is die cut with a Spellbinders die.
The DP is from Maja Design. The Christmas sentiment in Norwegian is made with a stamp from Kort&Godt. I heat embossed the sentiment with brown embossing powder.
The brads and string have been in my stash for a long time, I can't remember their origin. I didn't want to stitch this time, so I used a border stamp around the edges. I also distressed them as well.
This is for these challenges:
1) Winter Wonderland - Monochrome
2) Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas - #159 Winter Weather
3) Totally Papercrafts - #201 - Winter Wonderland
4) jingle belles - Something Old, Something New (old and new dies)
5) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Thank You Card with Owl
Normally I spend hours and hours on one card, but this one came together rather quickly as I had picked so much inspiration from several challenge blogs, both for colors, layout, shape and stamps!
My New Year's resolution was (was) to use what I already had in my stash. I must admit that I bought these papers on Tuesday, so that means it didn't even last a whole week! But I won't be too hard on myself, the stamps I used are at least 6 months. But to be totally honest, this was the first time I inked them up! But I have used other items from the same stamp sets, so I don't feel (too) guilty about that.
DPs from My Mind's Eye, owl stamp from Inkadinkado, tree branch stamp from 7gypsies, sentiment stamp came free with a magazine. Lots of heat embossed elements: Owl with brown embossing powder, tree branch stamped with Coffee colored ink and embossed with clear powder, yellow embossing powder for the sentiment. All edges have been treated with Walnut Distress Ink. The card measures 3,5"x5,5" - a size that was really fun working with, btw!
This card is for these challenges:
1) Try Stamping On Tuesdays - Sketch #150
2) Inkspirational - #47 Brown and Yellow
3) Crazy 4 Challenges - C4C218 Skinny card
4) Sweet Stamps - # 151 Kraft Paper
5) The Stamping Boutique - Use 3 Designer Papers
6) Make My Monday - Embossing
7) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

18!
Over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday the optional twist this week is
"Hello/Goodbye". I can't wait to see how people interpret this theme! Our January sponsors are My Besties by Sherri Baldy and Paper Temptress.
One of my hubby's nieces turn 18 this year. In Norway 18 is a great turning point, it's at this age you're allowed to vote and get your driver's license, amongst other things. So my version of the theme is "goodbye childhood, hello adulthood".
This image is called "Pretty Little Girl half face" and I colored it using Promarkers. I chose grey and pink DPs and the sentiment, made with a stamp from a Dylusion set, is heat embossed with pink embossing powder on grey paper. The flower die cut is made with a Memory Box die. The clock die is from Marianne, and I've used Tim Holtz dies for the numbers. I machine stitched with white thread along the edges, added some cheesecloth for texture and added a pink flower and pearls.
My new things used on this card are: image, DPs and flower.
This card is also for these challenges:
1) Crafting By Designs - Birthdays
2) Fab 'n' Funky - #198 Let's Celebrate
3) Shopping Our Stash - #125 Use Something New

Woman with Pearls in her Hair
For this card I've used an image from A Day for Daisies called Pearls In My Hair. The image, background included, is colored with Promarkers.
The DP is from BoBunny.
The blue flowers are made using a MB die and the white ones are cut from a ribbon. The floral die is also from MB. Lace is from my stash.
The sentiment is heat embossed and is part of a set from Whimsy Stamps. I used oval dies from Spellbinder for the sentiment and mounted it on foam.
This card is for these challenges:
1) A Day for Daisies - Anything Goes
2) Charisma Cardz - Birthdays
3) Totally Gorgeous - #217 Ribbon
4) Sparkle N Sprinkle - Anything Goes

My first Christmas Card of 2014
My New Year's resolution is to use more of the stuff I've already got in my stash. My stash includes lots of washi tapes. Love the tapes, but what to do with them? This week's sketch over at 52CCT seemed perfect for using some of those tapes.
I used a DP from Authentique for my background. I mounted the panel on foam. The stamped sentiment is from Panduro, a calendar gift from my sister a year ago. I chose to heat emboss it with silver glitter powder. I also used a silver thread for the stitching around the edges. 3 rhinsestones and that's about all I needed to make my card.
This card is for these challenges:
1) 52 Christmas Card Throwdown - Sketch
2) Christmas Card Challenges - #6 No Coloring
3) Christmas Cards All Year 'Round - January Christmas Anything Goes
4) Make it Monday - Anything Goes

Waiting for Mr. Right
I got this stamp from Lost Coast Designs back in September. I got home, stamped the image straight away and since then it's been on my desk, waiting to be used... I love the image, but couldn't quite come up with an idea for a design for it. Then I saw the sketch over at Try Stamping On Tuesdays and thought it was time to make something with these ladies!
I added Old Paper Distress Ink over the image and heat embossed a birthday greeting in Norwegian in the bottom right corner.
I attached the image to a black paper with torn edges, then I mounted the panel on foam onto a DP from Authentique. I also mounted the DP on foam and attached it to a square of gray paper. This gives my card a nice, clean layered look but I wasn't able to capture this effect in my photo. For embellishment I tried various washi tapes and ribbons ans sequins before I finally decided on a a piece of grey lace from my stash. I used twine to give it a frilly look and a vintage style.
My New Year's resolution is to use what I've already got in my stash, and I'm certainly going to get the dust off this stamp and use it again. I think it would be a fun image also for a Valentine's card.
This card is for these challenges:
1) Try Stamping On Tuesdays - #149 Sketch
2) Seize The Birthday - Birthday with Numbers
3) Brown Sugar – #75 Use Ribbon or Twine
4) Card Makin' Mamas - #78 Anything Goes

6) Natalie and Amy's Challenge - #16 One for the Girlies
7) Our Creative Corner - Use one of your Shopping Sins

Betsy Buttons
Happy New Year everyone! This is my first post in 2014, and it's a girly design as we've got the theme of "Lady in a Hat" over at the Outlawz Twisted Thursday this week. The theme - or twist - is always optional, but if you use it you'll get a second entry in the prize draw.
Our sponsor for the month of January is Besties images by Sherri Baldy. For this card I've used an image called "Betsy Buttons". Isn't she cute? I think her hat looks a bit like a beret, and that's when my thoughts drifted in the direction of France... The background is put together with stamped images from different sets and an Eiffel Tower die cut. I colored her up in shades of grays and browns and sponged the image with Old Paper Distress Ink for an old finish.
This card is also for these challenges:
1) Digi Galore - Girly
2) Crafts 4 Eternity –#156 Something New (all stamps but the sentiment and postcard)
3) Make it Monday - Anything Goes
